Not particularly. Goal difference is not something United need to concern themselves with this season. Expect a 3-0, or 4-1, but Chelsea will know, bizarrely, that they have been in a game.

It's a shame, isnt it?

Or Utd could win.

Of course it's a shame if we we get beat, but it's a shame you lot have never won the treble isn't it or three in a row ? Chin up Maureen !!

Getting beat by Chelsea isn't something we should be worried about. They're a top team.

It's getting beat by teams like Sunderland (no offence),at home, we're worried about.

I think we'll win!

With Mourinho's tactics? No.

it will be a lot closer than people seem to think. Also as someone said, if Chelsea score first, expect Mou to park the bus and Chelsea to not venture beyond the half way line for the rest of the game. United to get anything must score first.

Not overly. How many teams have Chelsea smashed this season? I think we'll lose but not get hsmmered.

posted on 17/1/14

i think most fans are expecting us to get 0 or 1 points from this game just like every season.

Would love it, really luv it if we won there and broke Maureen's home record !

with the obligatory pen or dodgy free kick to Chelsea if they aren't winning.

Why not Juan? Genuinely curious, goal difference could be very important.

If Moyes goes cautious (which I think he will), I can't see it being anything else but a 0-0 or 1-0 win to either team.

I assume Melton you want us to get something from this game ?

Dr. Luke Capello, are you afraid to attempt thought-provoking articles?

I think it'll be a close game. Can't see Utd getting blown away.

A narrow Chelsea win in a cagey affair, probably.

I'm just hoping we don't slip up tomorrow. An 8 point gap at this stage would be very handy indeed, if Utd do lose on Sunday that is.

I do football, both to stifle Chelsea and the fact I prefer both manchester teams to any London clubs.

I actually think you stand the best chance if Moyes goes attacking, he won't win in a tactical battle against Mourinho. I'm just not sure he will have the balls to do it.

You'll beat Villa TGM, you were my first pick on my accumulator!

posted on 17/1/14

Completely agree Melton. I hope he does try and take the game to them but not too gungho as they will pick us off with fast counter attacking, Hazard, Oscar and Ramires particularly and probably Torres too

Our best chance would be to get about them, play with energy and tempo. But we don't have the personnel or the desire to do that for more than a few minutes in any game, hence our lack of late rallies in games this season - we are exhausted by the end in spite of appearing to exert very little energy. It's a major problem.

TGM - the biggest bankers of the weekend LPool,City,Arsenal... throw in QPR, probably Leicester
Real Madrid and a few others like Rochdale, Wolves(?)
Dundee United and it's quids in!!
