"When Lukaku and Barry return to their clubs at the end of the season and they Baines/Barkley are sold then we will then see how Martinez copes with replacing them and whether Martinez really is a good manager."
He sold Fellaini and replaced him with McCarthy,so he's not doing to bad. What makes you think he won't be equally successful in the loan market next season? Martinez looks like he's built up an healthy relationship with Barcelona, and Barcelona have been impressed with the way Martinez has used Deulofeu,so we maybe getting more of their prodigies. It's not the ideal solution, but needs must.
We have seen so many teams similar to Everton over the years do well one season and then struggle the next
We're not a new kid on the block.

My point is that under Moyes he maintained consistency for Everton at a good level. We still have to see if Martinez can do that. Are the likes of Newcastle and Villa new kins on the block - yet they have found it difficult to maintain similar consistency.

I'm not for a second saying he wont be successful in replacing them. I'm simply stating Martinez has only been at Everton for 6 months while Moyes consistently delivered results over 10 years, so it seems far too early to lavish Martinez with praise.
the only saving grace that can be said for Moyes is that he is probably more experienced than SAF was when he took United over. It's just the dynamic of modern football that even this year you cant afford to lose CL status financially or on the pitch.
Not sure about that one king
SAF had won things before united Moyes hasn't

Have you forgotten what Fergie did at Aberdeen, both domestically and in Europe??!!! (at a time when Scottish football was at a good level)

I think Moyes is great manager, and I never wanted him to leave, but I wouldn't want him back. Would you? We're a point better off after 21 games than we were when we finished 4th.
Both Moyes and Martinez have different styles of play. Both have or have had issues with it.
Moyes style of play is more workman like and Martinez is more keep-ball. Martinez`s style of play only really works with good quality players who can pass and move well. He did not have this at Wigan and what there was there, he took with him.
Everton have better players than Wigan so his style of play works far better.
Everton benefit.
Moyes`s style is trying to be implemented into a group of players who are used to more of a overall style (both style with enough "workman like" ) but Moyes has just brought the workman and never really had the stylish mentality. This way of playing can only really get you so far so in some ways United really could be the new Everton and finish also rans to the top 4 every season.
Moyes should have kept on the original staff to keep that side of SAF`s style ethic to maintain the balance. Instead he took the Everton staff with the same workman like style and gave Martinez the chance to bring in his people with his ways of play.
Simply put, this is all down to the styles and nothing else.
Moyes is allowed to loan players too, not only Martinez
Long term Moyes was always going to be better
