Wow i thought he beat us more than 2 times in the pl. If it wasn't for Drogba his record against us would be alot poorer too in the cups.

Most of his wins against Arsene came in cup competitions mainly.

We'll beat him sooner or later.

The best part is it'll come when he needs the victory the most.

I remember when Chelsea eventually beat us for the 1st time in ages, in the Champs lge quarter final at Highbury courtesy of a Wayne Bridge goal

We could have won the champs lge that season with the invincibles.

Thats how it'll happen to Mourinho, it'll be unexpected and it'll really hurt him

Liverpool 6 times
City 5 times
United/Everton/Spurs 4 times

Arsenal 2 times

I think maybe Wenger has the best record against Mourinho, no?

Remember Drogba's knee winner?

Good article but it but we did lose the Carling Cup games. The fixtures have been mostly draws where Mour has gotten extremely luck (Henry missing sitters, Essien wonder goal to draw level in 85 min, Pires hitting the post at the end, )

Mourinho's only won when the gulf in class between the teams was ridiculous.

posted on 22/1/14

Rusky, you could say that about your wins over us in that period though

when you've beaten us it's either because we had an inept manager at the helm (Grant, AVB, Scolari) or because pur whole team was in freefall (10/11)

stop being so bitter, dress it up however youlike but the fact remains that Wenger had never got a result against a Jose team

Arsenal's wins against us have all been very lucky.

5-3 JT slip and AVB shocking manager
3-1 at Emirates Scolari shocking coach

It's probably more realistic to say that Drogba bested Wenger!

Cech Hook, the 3-1 was in Carlo's second season when the team was in freefall

under Scolari they beat us 2-1 at the Bridge, although we did get our revenge winning 4-1 at the Library

How is having a bad coach "lucky" ?

lucky for you lot, the only results Wenger's got over us in this period has been because we've either had an incompetent man at the helm or because our whole team's in freefall

posted on 22/1/14

Oh right then. The only results that Chelsea have had over us have been when they've had unlimited money, destroying the concept of building a club's success through its own means and generally becoming an extraordinarily unpleasant man's plaything.

you do realise we have already beaten you at home this year.

"Jose Mourinho called it “one step back”, but it was a move that made him happy. Chelsea’s reversion to solidity, caution and tough tackling was a throwback to his first reign. He turned the Christmas lights off for the night and they may not come back on."

I don't like this article...

Jose has a good record, it doesn't matter how many defenders he has at the end of a game, or how old one of your players was in one game... it is about results.

Jose gets results, and more often than not wins things.

Im pretty sure in the 5-3 Chelsea got.lucky as it was a clear foul on our play which led to chel 3rd goal. Think it was a blatant body check.

posted on 22/1/14

your luck in the 5-3 was us having AVB in charge

when was the last time you beat when we had a competent manager at the helm? i'll tell you, it was 2010

posted on 22/1/14

^You could say that Jose is the only competent manager you have had in the last 20 years if you want to go down that route and then that would "invalidate" all our victories against you.

The fact of the matter is that in Jose's reign at Chelsea, he has beaten Wenger's Arsenal fewer times in the league than almost every other club.

Some of the comments are so blinded by loyalties it is ridiculous, ‘we won because of Drogba’ what like having a world class match winner doesn’t count, ‘Essien scores a screamer in the 85th minute to equalise’ like having players capable of doing late in a game doesn’t count, ‘Pires hit the post’ like we didn’t have narrow things count against us too.
