Did it really hurt inside?

Rvp did not play in England for 8 years without a trophy, he was either injured or a bit part player for 6 of those 8.

Mata is a class guy and Chelsea fans should not resent him, it's not his fault and given the chance he would have preferred to stay and be a regular for Chelsea.

"He averaged a goal every other game at Arsenal during his 8 years there."

Clueless.

Exactly OP is Chelsea remain winners and above Man Utd you won't care. Try and see it from our side. The situations aren't really the same.

Nonsense 0.5 goals to game ratio. The guy played like 2 games and scored a goal a season KMT.

Well said dubbed!

Easy to say he should've moved aborad, but having dedicated the bulk of his career playing here, I fully understand why he chose to stay here, and so should Arsenal fans tbh.

Shutup you spoilt don't say we should understand maybe when Rooney leaves your sinking ship to remain in England while you hover around 5th place it will start to hit you, infact RVP has that about him to do it again. He's a snake and wasted our time instead of the opposite.

He's a disgrace of a being and karma is proving existent now

How exactly?

Until you guys win something, I'm sure RVP won't regret a single thing. He's already won the PL trophy he so desired in one year.

Rooney was merely linked with City and they were sending him death threats ffs.
Imagine if he joined them.

Tevez had a total lack of respect for United, Dubbed, completely different.

United fans will wish Rooney well if he does indeed leave. He's given us ten years of brilliant service and has won all there is to win at club level bar the FA Cup. So cannot begrudge him a move in the twilight of his career.

Tevez did not have a lack of respect for UTD, ferguson had a lack of respect for Tevez, just like he did with Berbatov! ferguson is a nasty piece of work!

By the way, the strike force of Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney was incredible and one of the best in the business!

So did RVP. Especially when you take into account all the bull he was coming out with about supposedly retiring at the club.
Him acting all jovial and innocent afterwards won't change that.

Yeah. You're all cool with Rooney. Who you trying to kid man? The amount of stick Rooney got in the summer was unbelievable.

Come back when your best player joins your rivals (West Brom, etc). We'll talk then.

As an onlooker to what happened with Tevez and Berbatov j guess Tevez was a bit of a twot but it seemed that ferguson was the catalyst. But Berbatov scored 30 + goals in one season and then he was dropped! This was wrong!

posted on 23/1/14

Tevez plays up wherever he goes. He doesn't even get in the Argentina squad because the manager doesn't want his ballacks having a negative influence on the team.

Tevez played very well in his first season and then didn't respond to the competition when Berba came. Tevez suited us better and Berba probably was favoured a bit more than him that season but it doesn't excuse how crap he was that season and the way he behaved afterwards.

Berbatov never scored 30 goals for United. The most he scored was 21, and he was correctly dropped because we were a better team without him - as much as I love him as a player - and he was crap in Europe and not reliable enough in front of goal, particularly in the big games.

Berba didn't want to fight for his place and so was marginalised and let go with little fuss.

Yeah sorry, it was only 21 when he was joint top scorer! You are probably right tbf but I still think ferguson could have handled him differently to make him a better player!

The stats were pretty skewed that season, to be fair. He scored two hattricks and five in another game.

He wasn't actually delivering as consistently in front of Tevez did that season, even though he scored the same amount.

He possibly could have done more to make him a better player but I think a lot of it was also down to Berba as well.

He wasn't the best fit for United but when he fancied it he was exceptional, he just didn't fancy it enough, and that evidently was a reason he didn't justify a place in the team,

I don't think him and Rooney worked as a partnership either and so Berba was always gonna make way as Rooney was much better.

Shame really. He couldn't have been a much better player than he actually has been in his career. The Nani of strikers, Berba is.
