im in the camp of leaning more towards underperforming players, moyes is to blame aswell as you can see our style of play is very negative, so i would go players 60% manager 40%
Neither
Football is a tad more complicated than that
The squad is to blame. Individual errors has cost us big time. But Moyes should have done something about the lack of quality in our squad in the summer.
Moyes.
Tactical dinosaur. Wasted an entire transfer window, leaving us to panic buy this one.
Moyes has been very unlucky with injuries etc. The squad has most definitely underperformed.
I'm going squads fault. Moyes isn't blameless though
Easily the squad.
Too many passengers thinking they are entitled to slack off for whatever reason.
I dont care about tactics or players liking the manager. They do their fúcking job or píss off.
No, because both are to blame.
comment by UnitedRedMacca-We just HAVE to sign Mata as I might finally be able to to do a half decent pun!! What's the Mata Moyes ffs, make it so!!! (U2024)

If the tactics are wrong or the manager is unable to inspire the players, it's pointless even going out on the pitch

Let's just forget all this blaming moyes for ruining our season and concentrate on today's game.
Oh wait..
Bit of both, can't blame moyes for gk throwing the ball in his own net or injuries to key players, that being said i think moyes changed too much too quickly when he arrived.
Its clearly a bit of both. But I'm of the belief the squad needs a big over haul before the manager has to go.
Ok mudd
I'll bite
I would it's the players that he has actually had available most of the time playing as pants as they did last season, aside From roo and jones, coupled with the fact one or two are starting to show their ages.
All of the above for varying reasons, which have been discussed and scrutinized over and over and over and over and ov......you get my point.
Injuries are another enormous factor that people have, in some cases, conveniently forgotten.
Onwards and upwards. Moyes is trying to fix it, or so it would seem.

Theyre supposed to be top players at a top club. Tactics should be irrelevant against most teams. The complete lack of desire shown by the likes of Carrick and Rio in games against West Brom and thr like this season is unforgivable regardless of who is manager.
I think its a bit of both, (not to mention the injury problems) but if I had to go for one option only I'd say the squad; we all know the squad needs an overhaul.
1. Getting rid of existing backroom staff
2. Ridiculous summer tour schedule
3. Moyes Starting job too late
4. Gill leaving
5. Woodward inept in his new job
6. Over training RVP
7. Injuries to key players
8. Dramatic loss of form by some players, Rio particularly
9. Negative approach at times
10. Awful wingers for too long
11. Very steep learning curve for Moyes, who does look a little out of his depth still.
Overall not good enough, players have let the new manager down amongst things. Mata a great player is first step to a rebuild and still hoping Moyes will come good.
You ask people a simple question, you deliberately set it up for a desired result and they refuse to play ball.
I hate you all!
