Vidal would be a dream.

We NEED a left back and a box to box centre midfielder desperately. As in we don't new them because it would be nice and improve us we need them as a matter of urgency.

Mata won't solve the issues in the team at all but will add a lot of class to the attack.

Priority is still a commanding centre mid. Watching the Sunderland game even more re in forces that IMO

I think you guys should take Mata and then wait for the summer as most of the jan signings would be reactive rather than thought out signings in the summer

ESPN are reporting this morning United have bid 23m for Luke Shaw

Wow, Mata, Shaw and a CM in January would exceed any expectations

Would be funny if you bought draxler for the sake of it, just to see wenger's reaction!

I'd say go for guarin or cabaye now, and try and agree a deal for shaw in the summer

very good player but the english player tax is valuing him 10mill+ more than he should be considering if we went hard for contraeo we can get a proven quality lb for probably less than 10mill

dnt see the point of dante as we have too many cb as it is, we need to give jones and smalling a run there!

out of all the rumours vidal would be the one i would love to happen the most, brilliant player and exactly what we need

Bainesega would solve a lot of our problems.

Moyes is finding it to win games with the same squad that SAF had last year...

It ain't that easy this management lark, Moyes, is it?

Dream scenario would be Vidal and Shaw/Alex Sandro

You'll have to break the bank for Vidal, rightly so as he's a top class midfielder IMO

thing is with wc year any player we target that has evan a half decent wc his value will double, its always been like that, i mean now i think we would turn juve's head with 30mill for vidal but come wc if chile get to say the qf,sf of the wc cup you can imagine juve wanting 50mill+ for him

posted on 25/1/14

We won't be able to turn Juve's head with a £30m bid, though.

I also don't think we'll be able to turn the players head from competing for a league trophy to competing for the top 4 trophy.

Vidal is the best midfielder in the world, if Juve would even stomach selling him they would listen to offers of 50m+. He just signed a new contract too

posted on 25/1/14

There's no chance of making juve sell with a £30m bid for Vidal. Marchisio for £20m maybe but he's an inferior player.

I think Juve are more likely to sell Vidal than Marchisio.

im sorry but if someone like gundagon is being tagged at 25-30mill how much more is vidal than him, both very similar type players, thinking about it if we can get him with some kind of swap with kagawa i would prefer that

Depends on how much the selling club value te player.

Vidal is a box to box midfielder, Gundogan is a deep playmaker

I like kroos a lot. We may be able to nick him due to bayern being blessed in abundance with midfielders.

On the other hand, as many have said, vidal would be an absolute disneyland buy - if we managed to prize him away.

We certainly need at least two cm`s in my opinion but i`d be satisfied to wait until the summer for the right player over buying someone for the sake of it now. That said, Carrick is out again and Fletcher is still not 100% and i`ve lost all faith in Cleverley. So perhaps a stop gap might be sensible in the shape of a sulley muntari or even, dare i say, hijacking essien whist josie is in a giving mood

With regards to a left back, i`d be happy with shaw or coentrao - i tend to lean slightly towards coentrao because he`s got experience on the grand scale for club and country. I worry that, marvellous player shaw is and is likely to become, he could freeze at United and end up being another one who never quite reaches the heights predicted.

If push comes to shove and we do have the funds available that we keep being told we do (lets be optimistic for a second ) then i`d rather go for the best, and the best usually costs. I`m tired of making do and looking for "value" in areas where we desperattely need that "disneyland" signing with blockbuster class.

Vidal its is, heck lets sign him AND gundogen whilst we`re asking and high on optimism
