Who Could Be Moyes` "Next Signing"?

Gundogan has a buyout clause though, apparently.

As far as I'm aware Vidal doesn't. And even if Gundogan doesn't have a buyout clause, he's not got long left on his contract whereas Vidal has recently signed a new one.

Either way he won't be going anywhere in January. Neither player will.

I`m not sure of the economics. It surprises me when people mention buy out clauses, not that i`m dismissing your point, but why would a club broadcast these buy out clauses??? It`s like saying "our star man is valued at £30m.......but we are soooooo stupid we put a clause in his contract that allows you to have him for £15"

Vidal its is, heck lets sign him AND gundogen whilst we`re asking and high on optimism

Moyses was snapped talking to the guy who is the agent for both Kroos and Marco Reus. Make what you want of it.

I'm not exactly sure of the rules in Germany but every player in Spain has to have a release clause inserted into their contract and it has to be made public.

I think the fact that we`re finally spending money to eclipse what we did back in 2008 is finally getting to me!!!

doesnt work like that though, when gundagon signed the 1st contract he was a unknown valued at maybe 2-3mill, by the time hes turned into a brilliant player im sure dortmund have tried to negotiate a new contract to either rid the min fee clause or increase it but if gundagon doesnt sign a new contract then they are stuck with it

For me I'd like to see United have a more defined first XI next season. This below would be my (hopefully) not too unrealistic first X1 with a second team if you will in brackets:

De Gea (Anders)

Rafael (Valencia)
Jones (Vidic)
Smalling (Evans)
Coentrao (Buttner)

Fellaini (Carrick)
Vidal (Fletcher)

Mata (Nani)
Rooney (Kagawa)
Janujaz (Young)

RVP (Welbeck)

That still leaves the likes of Cleverley, Hernandez etc as well in there.

I have put Fellaini in there as I believe Moyes will give him a chance ahead of Carrick as a more aggressive deep lying midfielder. He could also act as a shield for the defence against more physical sides in the air.

I believe that this squad would be a very good one with a dramatically improved first eleven which would only be two players away.

Of the ones I believe the most likely to leave (Nani, Kagawa, Hernandez) we should promote from within.

The one area of concern to me there in terms of depth would be the full back positions where we could get better cover.

As with any other scenario if there are better, available players then we should go for them for any position but only if they would be significantly better.

Can't see us getting shaw if chelsea are bidding as well, they'll offer him more.

I doubt it earl. They stand more chance due to him supporting them though.

Think Chelsea might edge that one. Both teams will be able to call him their number 1 left back so it comes down to fulfilling a childhood dream or moyes selling man united as the undoubtedly bigger club

I think you`ve missed my point mate, i just don`t get why clubs/agents broadcast clauses in legally binding contracts.

I guess it works both ways though and in this day and age everything is exploited.

Amen to this. And, without trying to make excuses, we would have this season had it not been for awful luck with injuries. I don`t think this has been highlighted as much as it should have by anyone - people have found it too easy to blame Moyes, Woodward, the club and even Fergie 100% for everything. Although, hands up, when you`re stood there watching the boys taking a hammering i`ve done exactly the same!!

we still need a back up rb

i hope we will sign a cm, who i dont know

Although they aren`t ideal, Smalling, Jones and Fabio can fill the rb role. If Moyes is intent on Smalling/Jones being his first choice central pairing for the future, he can address it then.

I`d much rather we sorted out the cm issue before anything else.
