1 - Where the frick did this come from?
2 - We need a new striker in the next 6 days or we are in big trouble.
such dedication that man has.
That should appease the Lazio ultras
@StevenWBA: Impression I get is #wba would let Anelka go - but time is against them to find replacement. Can't afford to be short, even if potential ban
Lazio one of the most far-right clubs in Europe. You couldn't make it up.
Think it is for the best, Anelka gets out of the media spotlight, & we get rid of the bad press. We also free up 50k in wages, add that to the 35/40k we have freed up from the sale of Long plus possible departures of Rosenberg & Dorrans then that's around 150k a week.
So two new forwards & a left back please Jeremy, & no scrimping on quality!
Anelka can leave once a replacement has been found!
According to the Daily Mirror, we will sack Anelka if he is found guilty. Best all round if he gets his move, at least we get an opportunity to replace him if he goes now.
@StevenWBA: Hearing that #wba want to ensure replacement is found before Anelka move to Lazio is sanctioned. 50/50 at the moment

Agree with everything there.
Not even a peep on potential incomings.
Don't worry, DUH DUH DUH ANICHEBE is all we need
I rate Anichebe highly.
He needs a goalscorer to play with him though.
JH, sometimes think I'm the only one who rates Anichebe, I think he's class whenever he's fit
back to goal, there isn't many I've seen better.
Great. We'll score loads with our backs to the goal!
Sorry but there's a reason why you don't get many big target men nowadays. They don't result in many goals!
Victor 'Sicknote' Anichebe was a last minute panic buy and a great offload by Everton. Same with Sessegnon in my view and IMO both contributed in no small way to the sacking of SC. He must have asked for them, RG and JP got them and they turned out carp after the first couple games.
How have they turned out carp?
I question if you've actually watched the games if that's your opinion. It seems most people have made up their mind regarding those 2 and hold some sort of bitter dislike of them, just 'cause we spent abit of money on them.
Sessegnon is our only player with the ability to beat a man whilst Anichebe changed the game when he came on against Everton. Not to mention he spearheaded our win at OT. Granted he's had problems with fitness, hopefully that's behind him.
Cox and baggieman you're both being extremely naive if you're writing off Anichebe. Everytime he has started or played upfront he has looked very good. Whilst he is not a prolific striker he brings all our goal scoring players into the game like berahino, vydra, sess, Sinclair etc. Not to mention he constantly puts pressure on the oppositions defence just by chasing and charging everything down.
If he was fit since the start of the season we would not be in the position we find ourselves in.
Just because our opinion is different to yours, doesn't make us naive.
For a player to be good and to represent good value he first has to be fit for a sufficient number of games.
Big Vic had a poor injury record at Everton and the same is happening now that he's with us.
Irrespective of what you think of his performances, his inability to get himself fit enough to string 2 matches together is reason enough to dispel him as a poor signing!
In 2007/08 Vic managed 41 appearances.
Since then he's managed:
2008/09 - 22 apps
2009/10 - 11 apps
2010/11 - 19 apps
2011/12 - 16 apps
2012/13 - 32 apps
This season he's managed 11 appearances.
This includes sub appearances and cup games.
Makes for pretty bad reading!
While I rate Anichebe highly, I can see why some people don't like him as he doesn't score the goals + his injury record is poor. I just think a strike force of him and Berahino is such a good prospect. We don't have a player who can bring other players as well as Vic quite frankly imo.
bring other players into the game***
So doesn't score goals, bad injury record and can't play up front on his own? A snip at £6 million!
