Should beat them at home but certainly the third worst draw we could have got. Which of the legs against Bayern is it? If that's three home games in a row then it could be (slightly) worse, if there's a flight to Germany thrown in too, might have an impact.

Still, the big games are the best. Bring on February and March.

I'm not worried that we are playing Liverpool, it is just the circumstances we will be facing them under. You can expect the same sort of team that dispatched Spurs with ease but you can also expect Liverpool to put up far more of a fight. I can see this going to a replay.

OP,
We have 120 minutes against Bayern with the bulk of our squad in fantastic form. Bayern's going down.

No matter what, our midfield will be better than Liverpool's.

My main concern is that such a strong draw robs us of an opportunity to rest any players. If we'd gotten Brighton or someone like that then Wenger might have been willing/able to rotate a bit, but now we have 4 big games in the space of 11 days - our midfield might be OK given our depth but for Mertesacker, Koscielny and Giroud in particular that will be an exhausting fortnight, since you'd hope and expect Wenger would take the cup relatively seriously.

Regardless of all that, should be a cracking game!

The big games are the most exciting and if we get through we've got a great chance to win the cup with the other draws, if we want to win anything we'll need to beat them eventually.
