The defence cant be so bad.
Ross has only had one shot to save in the last two home games.
With the return of our better players plus the signings it was like watching a proper team out there tonight.
Outstanding first half and thorough second half.
Charlton were happy to keep the score down and were never a threat.
Bring on the Boro for another "revenge" fixture after the way we rolled over at their place.

Hound: Yes, this was an excellent performance. I had some intermittent problems with my laptop which seem to be fixed now, but it made me unable to comment much earlier. What I did hear was the best "listen" that I can remember for a long time and reports confirm quality as well as quantity. We'd have to go a long way back to find two 3-0 or better home wins in succession.

Seems that the defence was solid, we kept the ball and were imaginative in attack and beat a team which has shown a good deal of resilence in defence recently.

The Addicks were unlucky not to keep Boro out recently (away) and then won away twice in a week in the Cup with clean sheets, so relatively speaking it augurs well, especially as we ourselves face Boro next.

Dare we feel a touch confident about what lies ahead? Yes, I'm looking forward to matches again.

For those who weren't at the game, there was one "showboat" pass by Wellens which should find its way onto Soccer AM this week.
It was a one-two with Copps in their box and was outrageously good.

I was stood up having a pre match coffee with Mrs Lanza towards the rear of the South stand
The players were warming up shooting at goal.
Luckily I was watching as number 26 shot with his normal accuracy the ball was heading straight for me, I turned my back and it hit me on the back of my shoulder.And I felt it.And spilt my coffee. So who tipped him off.HOUND.
