I'm still in full support of the man, as frustrating as things have been at times.
People moan that are players aren't good enough, then contradict themselves by saying it's the manager.
Moyes is having to learn on the job. He obviously wasn't as qualified to take over the United job in the way Ancelotti or Mourinho were but he seems to be learning as he goes with the tutelage of SAF in the background which I feel was the plan all along.
He got slated for not making changes in the summer but probably needed to see the squad up close and in person everyday and while that has resulted in a season where quite a few of them are letting him down, at least long term he can say he gave everyone a chance and now can start the pretty big rebuilding process.
It is a 2/3 year job to do what needs to be done but on a forum where even a day seems like forever of course there are going to be people second guessing him and now allowing him to do what needs to be done with no criticism.
We're all like backseat drivers and once Moyes gets to stage 2 and stage 3 etc of his masterplan I can bet a sizeable amount of people on here will understand why Moyes was chosen and why his methods aren't as immediate as some other managers out there.
Mata's press conference;
"He [De Gea] texted me all week, he told me the fans at this club show their support in the good and in the bad moments"
Obviously hasn't been on 606
If he doesn't get us top 4 by the end of the season he needs to go, we've just strengthened the side with a marquee signing as well.
needed to see the squad up close and in person everyday
----------------------
I imagine if he'd got shot of the players he didn't fancy, in the summer... It would have been a major stick to beat him with, on here (even if they were players that they didn't actually like)
Moyes has done pretty much everything the supporters were calling for in the Summer. He's given players chances, faded others out, addressed midfield and made a big signing.
The results haven't been great but considering the inevitable difficulties our first season without Fergie was going to entail, as well as the numerous significant injuries he's had to deal with, I think it can be forgiven.
If we get top 4, it will be job well done in my opinion.

Disagree there, and also 0.0001% of him being sacked after 1 season.
This has been his first settled transfer window and it has gone amazingly... He deserves a summer with Woodward now having a bit more know how.
i till stand by him although its been frustrating, but all being said, he really needs to install a team mentality, otherwise it dont matter how many players he gets in, it will always be an up and down ride.
Ive never wanted him out anyway, was gutted we didnt make more of an effort for Bale instead of leaving it to the last minute but the Mata signing has evened things out.
Player wise he is doing the right things, what we see on the pitch though, is it a result of Moyes poor training / tactics or that the players just aren't trying enough?
Players aren't good enough.
Having Mata, Rooney and RVP return will be like 3 new signings.

We've all spent countless hours laughing at Chelsea for sacking managers after a short space of time.
Yet plenty of our fans want Moyes gone.
Even if he does go, who would we replace him with? Could we just snap our fingers, and see Klopp or Pep on the next flight?

Couldn't agree more
He needed time to work with our players before wielding the axe
He's saying all the right things at the moment
I was less convinced about him a few weeks ago than I was when he took over but the signing of Mata coupled with his now stronger approach in saying what's going to happen in the future has me thinking alot more positive about him.
He had a bad start, we can't deny that but although many have said he has shown he is out of his depth, I for one think he hasn't buckled under the pressure one bit so far.
Top 4 is still the minmum requirement this season for me though and he certainly has the squad at his disposal to achieve that

Although that's true, I hope people don;t expect the miracle to begin tonight
RVP and Roo could be understandably rusty if they play and Mata will need time to settle
3 points tonight in anyway will do for me.
Mata/Roo/Adnan/RVP might take a little time before it starts to gel
(PS. It will probably be 6-0 tonight now)
In most any other season, i'd say that it would be top 4 or the highway... But Liverpool and Arsenal's rebuilding have co-incided with SAF's departure. Bad timing for us, perfect for them.

They should hit the ground running tbf Macca! Fingers crossed
If RVP, Rooney and Mata somehow start tonight I can see us battering Cardiff.
It'll more likely be Rooney and Mata though I reckon.

There's gelling in quickly and then there's this. Mata has probably only had one training session.
people need to look at things in context.
yes he has signed mata, yes he has brought Januzaj through and yes he has persuaded Rooney to stay ( by the looks of it) but 2 out of those three were no brainers and didnt need a top manager to work it out.
Moyes needs time and should be given time, but that doesnt cancel out the fact that he has made quite a few errors in his time at utd.
I dont think he was the best man for the job and wasnt my first choice, like many, however its not the doom and gloom that people are making out.
this season was always gonna be hard.
next season is when he should be questioned if things dont go well.
