Yea his confidence was pretty much destroyed by our home fans. Hes lucky he plays for Roma as the stands are always empty so no one can abuse him.

Gervinho has been really impressive this season. He still clowns around a bit and I have seen him miss an open goal, but overall he looks like the player he always threatened to be at Arsenal.

Booing is too far, but I can understand why people got annoyed with him. He was so frustrating to watch, he missed too many chances and his end product was horrendous. In the end, he had to go.

Wenger made the right decision, contrary to what you or anyone else thinks.

One thing I will give you credit for - and it is the only time I will ever give you credit - is that you have been consistent in your view and defence of him. Some people on this thread were wishing he was sold asap and are now wishing he was brought back. Fickle doesn't do it justice.

Castor wanted Gervinho dead now he's saying we should've stuck with him for another season. Absolute joke.

Gervinho was absolutely terrible for us. I mean really, really terrible.

I wanted him to do well, but I can't actually remember rating a player less than when Gervinho played for us. Don't get me wrong, he was the type I wanted when we signed him and I liked his pace, directness, energy etc...

However his touch, dribbling, composure, finishing, crossing, heading.. Awful.

Glad he's doing well like he was at Lille, but even more glad that he's gone.

Read what I said. I was ok with gervinho going because he was damn wasteful for us.

However, I also said at start of the season that seing as we did not exactly by the "3 or 4" world class players we could have kept him.

Gervinho was crap for us.....partly due to him, partly due to our booing fans. Hes gone, ok. Lets wish him the best and forget bout him.

I would rather have nobody than him. Just to stop Wenger being tempted to actually play the guy.
