Capoue/Paulino/Sandro (assuming they are fit) and we loose-I will really be pisssed off with Tim.

Even if we win I will be pisssed off with him..
I was surprised he started Bentaleb against City, if he starts against Everton i'll be pist off too
I wouldn't say if you get beat the race for 4th is over there's nothing between the teams, and unfortunately we seem to be conceding silly goals I think it will go to the last game to be honest!

I am not sure why Sherwood does not rate Capoue. If Bentaleb was given a run of games then surely Capoue deserves the same.

Rumours surfaced from the Sun a while back that Sherwood thinks Capoue is lazy.. yet even SC have failed to find any quotes. I don't think he'd be in the squad if he was that unprofessional in training.. I suspect he just wants to take credit for bringing him through.
To be fair if Nabil turns into a regular starter that'll be great, however if it costs us in the short term..

You don't know what goes on behind the scenes, Bentaleb might show more drive and passion however, I would like to see Capoue get a run of games.

ignore me.
Bale-of course, the short term leads to the long term. so if we don't get 4th, we will be in the same position as teh previous years, trying to hold on to your better players, which we all know is a loosing proposition. and we would be back o square 1
Either way I expect Everton to win, the defence will capitulate as usual, hand Everton a couple of gimmes, and then they will just sit back and defend and take the 3 points. It is about a predictable result as you are going to get this season.

Sherwood recently said that Capoue hasn't given him a moment's problem, he just knew Bentaleb better and he gets to know the other players more and more. So that article was bullsheite.
However, it's clear that Sherwood rates Bentaleb highly and so do I, but I don't think he should start every game.
Truth is Capoue or Bentaleb should not be a discussion. they are not the same type of player. Bentaleb should be competing with the more creative midfielders.
It does highlight Sherwoods lack of experience to think that Capoue and Bantaleb are fighting for the same role.
Bentaleb is not a DM. yes he is talented and likes to pass with good skill but he should not be in the team ahead of any qualified DM in our squad.
The debate should not be about who Sherwood knows better / who shows more passions etc it should be able who is the right player to fit in the right system to get a result.
Capoue is a DM with quality on the ball. Bentaleb is a CM with quality on the ball.
If we want to play an attacking style, one which allows either 2 forwards + Wingers, or one which includes all of Eriksen, Paulinho, Ade, Lennon & Dembele then we need a DM to sit behind them.
For me it has to be Dembele OR Bentaleb as they both do pretty much the same thing - patrol the midfield without really getting too far advanced and neither are DMs.
Right now if Dembele is fit then he should start. Sandro or Capoue should sit behind & Paulinho alongside. Both Dembele & Paulinho having greater licence to get forward along with Eriksen & Lennon to support Ade.
Everton are a positive attacking team. They will not park the bus. Sometimes when the likes of Fulham come to town you can expect them to park the bus and offer no threat.....THEN you could get away with no DM as we will have about 75% of the ball.
Big games (and they do not get any bigger than Man City) if you start without a DM, if you do not try to close the space down between defence and midfield, then you need your head read.#
I was pleasantly surprised to see Sherwood's thoughtful tactical approach to Swansea away, but then he went and played an open formation vs City, the most prolific team in the league. He needs to get this one right.

That is worrying frankly, he shouldn't be in the job if that's how he makes his team selections.
It doesn't make sense either.. he'd have to play the entire U21 squad for that argument to hold water.

Unless of course someone wishes to argue that rushing in an Academy kid into CM is less of a risk to the overall result, than doing so for a CB

I would argue that if Tim's not talking ballacks he'd have started Veljkovic over Chiriches.
On the Bentaleb/Capoue stuff, IMHO we are getting a "meet the new boss : same as the old boss(es)" .
