I wouldn't be so sure about that Great.
I think Meulensteen is picking different players to the established ones.

@TonyBarretTimes: This wave of strikes was announced on Jan 10. Fulham have had a month to come up with a contingency but only put out a statement today.
Says it all really
I've no problem with the Underground staff going on strike, it's their right to strike and their shoving it to Boris.

---------------
Probably not.
Not one of you picked him up on his comment though.
They are striking to protect their "jobs" but from what I understand it will be voluntary redundancy and the rest will be redeployed with them being on the same pay scales. There has to be modernisation for companies to keep up with the times. Fulham in my opinion (and I do not blame them) were always planning to do this after last nights efforts. Sorry just being cynical.
thought I heard mentioned Fulham hosting a FA cup during last strike?

I'm pretty sure the employees directly involved know what it all entails. If what you say is correct - then why are they striking?
I suggest that what you say isn't actually the case.
But I do agree with you - the LU does have to be modernised.
Yeah - job cuts are awful I have been involved in so called modernisation of councils and it is always the low paid staff that get absolutely trodden on. I am only going by the local London newspaper but then they may not be giving the full story.
Sorry mess all round, hopefully resolved with both parties getting it sorted with no losers.
As for Fulham

You say that as if thinking strikes are bad is wrong?
-----------------
Not at all. I say that as someone thinking that what you said was simply unnecessary.

There was no transport links anywhere near the Ataturk in 2005 and we still managed to get 40,000 fans there.
Fulham are there for the taking, if the club are pushing for the postponing of the game and it doesn't happen that will psychologically make it worse for the Fulham players. Game must go ahead IMO.
Another thing s there will be 3,000 liverpool fans and 3,000 utd fans all pulling into Euston at the same time. That should be interesting

Ay excuse for a day off though.

You are just so transparent. You, by your own comments, regard these workers as cu_unts who should have their wages cut.
They are part of a Union. They are part of an industry that provides a service. How exactly are they meant to show just how important the work that they do is, if any action they take in dispute won't result in any disruption?
I have no idea what job you do. But if you're unhappy, and all of your colleagues are unhappy, and you stage a protest as a result, and the protest you stage results in no harm being done, then what do you think the result of your protest will be?
Whatever it is, maybe faceless people on a message board such as this, should just be of the opinion that you're a cu_unt who deserves a pay cut instead.
