As swimmingly as the Aussies and New Zealand in the current series

Was a ambitious declaration but with both openers gone to MJ its paid off.

Johnson ripping into Saffers again..

englandwhoelse doing the job for his cricket board again. Thats why I call him a loyal fan.

South Africa being wrecked here. Nobody expected it to be as disastrous for them.

Saffers have a habit of starting series badly. Expect them to bounce back second time round.

Are Australia scheduled to tour UAE to play Pakistan this year?

MJ 's current figures in this Test match are 12-125. Unbelievable fast bowling. South Africa steam-rollered.

Winning, think they are scheduled in for September

Aus win by 281 runs.

Afridi, still confident you are going to beat aus in the upcoming series?

Saffers may bounce back, but this is a hell of a walloping.

Duncan,

Not as confident as I was 2 weeks ago. Will be dependent on how MJ performs in flat tracks and how the Aussies batsmen play spin. Whatever happens there though, it looks like the Aussies aren't far from grabbing that first spot again....

SA is the only team with a home record worse than on tour.

Past 5 years (W-L):

Home: 12-7
Away: 7-1

We will have to create some roads when MJ comes to UAE but he will still be dangerous with the new ball.

Am not surprised SA got demolished. right now Australia have a method and its working well. Sa need to bat first and bat better if they are going to get back into the series

Yh as an indian fan, I wish in that series, you guys provide roads and make him bowl so many overs and perhaps get him injured.

It would be a sad tale to see Indian batsman dancing against Johnson. Not sure there is any batsman in the world that can succeed against this Australian attack. I thought SA would be good competitors, but they have been completely outplayed.

Afridi September? blimey it will be 100+f? Your team may be able to keep Australia out in the field as long as possible. The heat will be a big factor. But right now Aussies will be favourites

It's October but will still be very hot but not unbearable.

All SA batsmen have better averages overseas than at home.

Duminy is horrible at home. Smithy has not done well at home. ABD, Amla, and Alviro P also have lower avgs at home. Faf was outstanding in the 2 tests he played overseas, but struggling at home like others.

Sorry lads, it's October..

Last 6 Tests of Mitchell Johnson. 49 wickets at an average of 13.4

And a strike rate of 29.4!!!!

Quality... Nothing better than watching a bowler with raw pace ripping into batsmen..

All my predictions have been coming dead right. Young guns of India won, Aus too and @englandwhoelse don't forget the bet. That day will be quite painful for you when I will win

Johnson's career is unusual. Normally, fast bowlers are at their best and fastest during their first few years. It is very unusual that a fast bowler suddenly gets faster and lethal several years later.

I believe a lot of credit goes to Mitchell Johnson.

He has gone away from cricket, recovering from his injuries & finding that love for the game back.
Then working with the legend Lillee in correcting a few actions regarding his bowling & also seeking knowledge from the legend.

He has come a long way. He feels a lot happier, healthier & fitter and also motivated.
He has really put the hard work in behind closed doors & its paying dividends now.

After the rewards in the Ashes series - he is now carrying that confidence & momentum in the big series vs South Africa.

I also believe Johnson is bowling the best he has ever been & if he can continue to stay injury free & continue to remain in good healthy shape like he is in now - he can be a really awesome bowler for a good few years.

Age is not a barrier - its more about his motivation & desire & confidence.

I also believe he should retire from ODI & possibly T20 cricket in order to prolong his Test Career.

It'll be interesting to see if South Africa will make some changes.

Will we Ryan McLaren who was completely demolished by Mitchell Johnson.

Maybe a chance for Dean Elgar or David Miller.
I doubt Jacques Kallis will want to come out of retirement now. Especially seeing how devastating Mitchell Johnson has been bowling.
