Yeah, we was never in it. Didn't look that bothered either. I'm really looking forward to your game on Tuesday. We are old hands with them cheating baaaastards. How are you gonna play it?

No-one is denying you didn't deserve to win, Silva's, but don't get carried away. You played a disinterested looking Chelsea side in an FA cup match, having had a week's rest; and scoring a couple of fortuitous goals. It was hardly a thrashing.

I hope we play 4-5-1 against Barca.
Negredo to lead the line with Silva just behind him. Milner, Garcia, Yaya and Nasri in midfield. If we can win that midefield battle then I can see us beating Barca on Tuesday.

An Arsenal fan has the nerve to ctiticise our performance away agst City after their negative pathetic display at home to United...............hilarious

When you little team finally have the mental strength to beat a rival do give us a call...

Fair result today, chelsea didn't turn up, we just didn't have the intensity. Luiz deeper in place of Terry didn't help and the offside goal although close wasn't a fair goal.

Didn't really think we'd win today, you get a feel for the ebb and flow as teams meet, thought we'd win in the league and lose today and that is how it turned out.

City pressed very well and made it really hard for us, was that impressed with them going forward but they did enough. The first goal was superbly taken.

I still think City are favourites for the league but this is a team in their peak, with a bit more fire power and a year older next season I think Chelsea will be the team to beat next season.

Hazard needs a rest, Shaw will give us an outlet next season if he signs and a striker is a must. Zouma will be a huge boost too, when Terry doesn't play we miss some solidity at the back.

I've absolutely no idea how we'll get on against Barca but I can't see either team putting the tie to bed in the first leg. We played well today but we still desperately miss Aguero and Fernandinho.

the players maintained an excellent tempo throughout
the wind break mid week was perfect timing

-------------------------------------------------

And that explains why our players looked so much more tired than yours.

We were never going to win tonight's match and if you look at the comments before the game very few expected us to beat City three times this season.

City have all resources and good manager to beat Barca...I hope and I think over 2 legs City can knock barca off.

Any smugness I have today is purely satisfaction from shutting Mourinho up. He rally does talk some rhubarb. It's all part of his arsenal and one of the things that makes him such a good manager but it does get boring after a bit, especially when you're an opposition fan having to listen to it every couple of days.

You know Pedro and Biscuits will dive and roll for 90 minutes. Yaya knows them, kick em up the ass. Who is the ref? Barcelona Cockboy?

If Hazard gets injured don't know where chelsea going to score or create?

I do agree with you there... Mourinho goes too far at times. He had wound your manager up enough to get a result at the Etihad and should have left it there. He didn't... he had to have another poke.

Faaaack me....never heard such a bitter retort!

You were outplayed and battered for most of the game....don't give your fans a bad name by being so bitter. We accepted our medicine on Monday and the 'big' press made sure they plastered it over every football article.....will they do the same after that footballing lesson?....Doubt it...

This result was called a few hours ago.

JAMES MILNER!

Whereas Mourinho played Luiz a centre back in midfield instead of Oscar for the PL game.
Pellegrini went for Navas.

Today Milner came in for Navas.

Result : Hazard gets nullified, no counter attacks permitted, City's class came through - game over!

Why do you ruin decent conversation?

A good attempt at analysing what went wrong with Chelsea's game today, but incorrect and over-simplified. Hazard looked knackered; to say he was nullified is actually being nice to him, perversely!

Good shout Sticky Toffees. Nullify Hazard and the one man team doesn't perform. So simple

I honestly don't care about the F.A cup. If We play like that against Everton or Gala I will be pizzed off.

=======
Hazard was on fire tonight.
But he had Milner and Zabaletta up his ass this time.
And because City had a matching "grafter" in midfield Chelsea could not counter.

We are over dependent on Hazard. Our strikers are pants. If Hazared does not play well the opposition defence has an easy day at the office.

Dude, fack off.

It has nothing to do with being a one man team. No Terry, Luiz at CB and Mikel starting, were much bigger factors in the defeat today.

When we beat city in the league the other day, we had about five players they couldn't cope with. None of those that played today had a good day.

Yup sadly this is very true. Stop Hazard and you pretty much stop the majority of our goal-scoring threat.

Just shows how awful our strikers are and if any of our current strikers are still at the club next season I'll be amazed.

The gap between City and Chelsea was quite scary. City weren't even at full strength.

About time, when you won 1-0 you had Matic, Luiz and Ramires up against Yaya and DEMICHELIS. No wonder Yaya struggled against Matic. Today he had the support of Garcia and Milner and Jovetic was a lot more energetic when dropping deep to support. You faced a different City team today and the result and performance showed that.
