To me this is more of a negative reflection on Mancini, you wouldn't be expected to now every player from every club but if you don't even know who Gary is then you obviously have extremely limited knowledge of the English game.
Neville had just about drifted out of the English game when Mancini joined City. He only probably knows him from when he was giving Tevez the V sign during the Carling Cup semi.
Let's face it, Gary Neville is hardly a world famous player.
If Mancini who has been in management a while made a concerted effort to ignore the English game before he managed City I admit there's a chance he wouldn't now who Neville is, but lets be honest theres probably not much chance of that...
