They have a very winnable FA cup QF next weekend. Hoping the likely prospect of getting to Wembley will distract them a bit.
This aside its a home game against a struggling team so we'll be expected to win and I see no reason why we wont.
2-0
Cant see anything other than a city win. We are due to beat Charlton, and whilst their form has improved, they are still not a great team. They should in my opinion had a points deduction for the state of their pitch, which has been totally unacceptable, causing several postponed games.
At least we should not have to suffer the problem we encountered at the valley, when quite simply we were cheated by one of the most appalling displays from an official that i have ever seen.
Thorney, remind us of that ref again, where he's from, who he hates and who forseen his abject performance
thorney's really Alan Young.
Youngy spent most of his playing career either fighting defenders or rowing with the officials. If youngy says the ref's decisions is wrong you know its right
I agree that it'll be an unchanged team, but a much sterner test as Charlton won't care so much about where we are in the league. Also, while they no longer have Kermorgant, they do have Astrit Ajdarevic - another player who fits the pattern of being cack for us but doubtless able the back of the net against us. Even so, you'd still bet on us at home given the strength we have both on the pitch and on the bench. 2-1 Leicester.
Yes i do go on about that ref,but i think there is little doubt that their standards have dropped, and too many games a re decided by the ref and not the teams.
If the best we have is Howard Webb, then god help us all.
City 3 Charlton 1.
I've always had a soft spot for Charlton but I can't see them progressing past Sheffield United in the FA Cup given the Blades' current form.
We are going to come a cropper in a game like this but it wont be tomorrow. 2 big wins for Charlton this week I cant see them getting a third.
3-0 City (Nuge from open play, Knocky and finally finally a headed goal from a centre back at a corner- Morgan/Wasy/Moore)
We havent beaten them for 10 league matches! Although this Is the season where we Have broken a few hoodoos so maybe same again tomorrow!!
10 league games must of been quite a long time ago. Dont recall us playing charlton too many times recently
"We havent beaten them for 10 league matches!"

I hope the management find that line, print it out and stick it up in the changing room wall in big, bold, angry letters. This team at the moment will surely be up for a challenge and breaking records / bad runs and it could provide some inspiration for the match.
Well said Dunge - a great idea
I think I read somewhere that the last time we beat Charlton Ade Akinbiyi scored ...
...which was coincidentally also the last time Ade Akinbiyi scored.
Thats right, dec 2000!! We have beaten them in the FA cup I'm sure, although I bet that would be a good 6 or 7 years ago too!!
About time we hammered someone again.
4-0 or 6-0
I'd take a crap 1-0 win! 3 points all I care about!!
Last game before an international break ..
I said a few weeks ago that it wasn't the fixtures others were worried about (eg Forest away) that concerned me, but those against teams mid-table and below. I added that if we did not lose against Watford, I would stick actual money on Charlton proving to be the banana skin.
Now, I have several painful memories of saying I would put money on some long-odds event, neglecting to do so and kicking the cat when the result came in, seeing that I would have won tens of pounds if I had put my money where my mouth was.
This places me in the unenviable position whereby I fear that if I don't go through with betting on a Charlton win, I will be jinxing us. So I'm sticking a couple of quid on a 0-1, and hoping to lose it…
BTW, I don't even have a cat, let alone kick one. When I lose money, I usually mutter at the cockatiel, who assumes I am offering him words of encouragement, runs up my shirt front and rubs the top of his head on my chin. So animal lovers should take a deep breath and relax.
Fatfox,
Iv stuck a tenner on a charlton win, odds of 8-1 when playing our bogey team....be mad not too!
Fatfox, that's just made my morning.
