Is 12 games a fair time for Moyes to prove his worth to the Glazers?

its more than fair to Moyes, its just not fair on us

The media would have hung him already if he managed Chelsea

I seriously worry about giving Moyes a £200m transfer budget. He's already flunked 27mil on Fellaini and whilst Mata is obviously a good player it was crazy to spend almost 40m in the only position on the pitch that didn't need strengthening.

can you really go on a £200mil spending spree these days without spending £30mil on a player like Lescott?

so many clubs have these massive chequebooks these days there aren't enough players to buy.

This is just a nice way of saying that Moyes will be sacked in the summer.

Moyes is a goner. There is absolutely no chance he will be Utd manager next season.

Why do Chelsea fans whine constantly believing they are hard done to by the media?

Anyways for me no I don't believe he should be given 12 games to prove himself. So if he wins his next 12 games that means we give the bloke 100m plus to create his own team?
For me no chance. The turning point was Olympiakos for me, I supported him up until then but just seen NOTHING whatsoever that gives me any hope. The players don't seem to want to play for him and if you don't have the players backing you may as well just quit

Feels like most of us are laid back if we win them or not aswell.

What does Moyes need to do in the 12 games to convince the Glazers he's the right man? And could'nt it be more should you overturn the Olympiakos score at home (which you are defo able to do)

Unless there is a DRASTIC improvement; some fight and some passion, some signs of the direction in which Moyes is taking the club in terms of tactics and any suggestion that he can motivate and get the best out of the players....... then what is twelve games going to tell us.

I simply can't see him turning it round in twelve games, but I can imagine another twelve performances like we witnessed on Tuesday.

Just look how lightly your manager has got off so far this season.

The media just seem to want to give him chance after chance. I've never seen that luxury afforded to any Chelsea manager before.

Vialli said had David Moyes been in Italy, He would've been sacked 3 times.

What kind of assurances did Moyes get from Utd, whats his contract length and salary btw too?

He's been under so much scrutiny and labelled 'under pressure David Moyes' since we didn't beat you guys in the 2nd game of the season. Every single 'pundit' seems to have stuck the boot in at some point. Just cos he's not been sacked doesn't mean he's got off easy in the media.

Something along the lines of his salary would get paid monthly until he's no longer employed by the club.

Ballacks. He's been given a free ride and people including a lot of posters on here have blamed the players for managerial incompetence.

If only he was foreign, he would have been hounded out by now

I actually think he is a gone in the summer. That's when there may be other coaches available/willing to come. I think tht board will sit tight until then.

I certainly wouldn't trust him with 100m+

Is Vialli in management now? Think he was a terrific player, and would be a good manager.

The media are slowly starting to turn on him. The Telegraph led a front page on him calling him hopeless after the Olympiacos game. Hopefully the other rags will follow suit, also I don't get how the share prices went up after the Olympiacos game either. The Lord is toying with us

Vialli's last job was at Watford in 2002.

Maybe it was due to the rumour going round the New York stock exchange that Moyes had been sacked.

Because the rumour was he was gonna get sacked. Speculation drove the share price higher (as it was seen as good news)

Don't underestimate the United pr team. Also, you've got to consider the fanbase, a lot of journalists will placate them as that is the way to get the exclusive interviews and they will sell more papers if they feature United.

It will turn as the fanbase turns, they are giving their readership what they think they want, that's all.

Baz and Red, I didn't think of it like that. Good reasoning tbf.
