Could have been much worse, good to be a goal up at half time but I still feel we will need at least one more if we are to win the game.

People calling for Pardew to be sacked are just as stupid though - still an idiot though

Both teams battled well for possession, we just kept giving the ball back though, Allen has been very disappointing so far along with Cout.

We have more cutting edge though.

Not sure the diamond formation will help us defend this lead. Would like to see sterling on for coutinho or allen and have an extra man in midfield

Keep defenders in position and let strikers do more work.

Agreed Glad were winning but we have been poor in midfield, and defence we look shakey. Need that 2nd goal otherwise Southampton will take advantage and score.
