Thoughts starting to turn to next year

It is a good test of character for them and will give Davies plenty of food for thought with regards to who is really up for it.
Barnsley are bottom and were mauled at Huddersfield today. A possible opportunity to rebuild fragile confidence or a new low?...

What you really need is simply a new manager. Good luck.

Next three games will shape the season I think. They are all winnable but if we have to rely on the weak links in the side then we could lose them or draw them and drop out the play offs. If we manage to stay top 6 with the injuries we've had this season then the manager is a genius.

Whats going on with Reid and Wilson?

This morning there was an interview saying a number of weeks away from match fitness, but after the game suggested it may only be 10 - 14 days!

Am i getting the wrong end of the stick?

If we could get those two back in 2 weeks it would make a huge difference.

Absolutely huge if those 2 came back, we could prop up our defence and with Reid in midfield we can start being a creative force again and should have enough for top 6. Then when Lansbury and Vaughan come back we can get back to our best!

This season is not over yet, but sadly any thoughts of 2nd died today.

We have a chance though, if we can claim a playoff spot with this bunch, hopefully we'll have players like Reid and Lansbury (maybe Wilson too) back in time for the big showdown, and then we'd have no need to fear anyone...

There is a talented manager with Championship experience at a team in Sheffield. On the verge of taking third tier relegation strigglers to Wembley and even to the play offs. I think he may have some connection with Forest in the past. Even some connection with Billy Davies as well. If you thought of changing you could do worse.

Are you being serious?

If you took 6 out of your first XI in any team, it is going to bite you badly!

How we are still in the top 6 is remarkable. If we can hold on and then get even 3 of them back then we will be top 6. Hopefully with another in as well before the end of the season we can have a good go at the playofffs (which we always do well in )

SBD - you lost 1-4 at home. Your team wasn't that bad. Most clubs in this league would love to put a team out that you did yesterday but you got smashed, rolled over, capitulated. 1-4 is a drubbing and points toward more problems.

Iwas - write down your team's best starting line up. Then remove your two centre backs, left back, two central midfielders and left midfielder. Now replace them with other squad members and realise how much poorer your team becomes.

We really should have been on more points from when we did have fit players, though, so the injuries excuse won't really wash if we miss the playoffs. We drew far too many games when only Cohen and Wilson were injured. And we bought Hobbs and Vaughan to the club when they were already injured, so can't really blame anyone but ourselves for that. We've got a squad that should still make the playoffs, and as long as we do, Billy deserves another season.

We will make the playoffs, I am sure of that. Even when we had reid in the team last week we were extremely dangerous and unlucky not to win against Fester. I just think without him and our other injuries we are lacking. As I said though if we can get 3 of them back then we should get there and if we get one more when we are in the playoffs then we shouldn't fear anyone!

Nobody will want to face a fully fit Forest in the play offs. Just hope we can hang in there while we get people back to fitness

That's boIlocks and you know it. Billy has spent millions assembling your squad. A squad provides cover. The players who started yesterday have proven quality that you where all excited about signing. You should not be getting dikked 1-4 at home. It's excuse after excuse and you lot are in denial. Making public excuses for defeats takes the pressure off the players to perform, it tells them that they are not good enough.

Iwas, you pick the most balanced comment and call it bollox? Which players that started yesterday have proven quality? I can pick at least 4 that aren't good enough for a promotion chasing team.

Where are your Buckos who can step in and step up. It's not just about buying players. Your squad players have to perform and not be ridiculed by the boss.

TBH, it could be a 2-horse CC race next season with your youngsters (pato, jamal, hobbs) and ours improving. It should be so good and entertaining in 2014-2015 assuming that one of wigan/qpr go up with burnley this season

So you are basically saying that a team's second eleven is as good as their first eleven and doesn't involve cover being made up of less quality players? Name me any team in which that is the case.
As I've said, take six first teamers from your side, replace them with cover players, then try and claim that you'd be happy for that team to play for the remainder of the season.

PS the likes of Majewski aren't good enough.
