Battle for 4th!

I know it's an odd thing to say, given their contrasting fortunes at the moment, but I have a feeling that United will hammer Liverpool in a couple of weeks time and kick start a mini-run in the league; throwing wide open the race for 4th.

Lads - you're really in with a shot at the title this year. Must admit I'm a bit surprised - though you would've run out of steam by now but the results and league position speak for themselves.
You've still got City and Chelsea at home no? And no European distractions? This year is your year

Not sure about that analysis there son.
United, with players of that winning calibre would not be struggling, those players are just too used to WINNING.
The BOND has gone with those WINNING players and Moyes. It really is as simple as that.

Agree with that. Moyes pissssed off the players by firing the backroom staff, then lost them completely with his Negative tactics and style of play. The main reason for united's current predicament is moyes, Nothing else

Rooney is still one of the top players in PL

I think you're right about our trip to OT

they'll be up for it with a point to prove

but I think 4th is too far away for United at this point

Wrong man for the job...... It really is as straight forward as that.
Promote from within the organisation FIRST. United should have gone all out for Jose but the ego of Ferguson took charge.
No Lippi??? No Hitzfeld??? No Arrigo Sachi??? No Luis Van Gaal????

As long as Moyes is in charge we will hammer nobody. We will hold on to a 0-0 draw or get a lucky 1-0 victory on a good day.

"Rooney is still one of the top players in PL"

He's a facking brilliant player
He gets underrated via banter and disappointment with England not winning, not on ability. He's got that in spades.

I think Liverpool will win the PL this year now. You just have the few games you have to get right whilst City and Chelsea have the CL to content with which will hinder them.

I begrudgingly hope you do. Parallels with United with your wait to win the title after a generation of crap managers and failure i can sympathise with, believe me

It would be good for football to see a proper football club other han United win it (ie. one that makes it money selling tickets for games, fans buying merchandise, and sponsors buying into the history) rather than an oil/gas strike. You know who I mean).

Who are you?????
Your Spurs, a team that are just POOR and thats not even up for debate.
Even with United's poor season in 20 they'll still catch you boys. Tottenham don't even warrant a stake in these conversations unless its to do with the old RIOTS.

exactly, Its that simple

SAF's biggest mistake imo. hopefully will be rectified soon. I want to see Klopp as the next United manager. He is IDEAL for united imo.

anyway

Good night guys, nice chatting with ya

United will be back within a year or two at most even if they give Moyes a lifetime contract

So my giddiness will be shortlived

FFP has made it effectively illegal for any club to spend more than half of what United does. And that's only a couple of clubs. Most clubs will be 'thrown in jail' under the new rules if they spend more than 1/5th of what United does.

See you next year

The Toxteth riots were a bit different to the Tottenham one.

Why are Liverpool not worries about Spurs, yet Arsenal are?

We are on the same number of points.

two matches lost and I'm worried about more than spurs

You may be on the verge of winning the title then lose it in the very last few seconds of the season.

It has happened before

It has for the Traffords as well

It wasn't ego that drove SAF on, it was, simply, desire to win and keep on winning. Moyes is avery good manager. He will not be sacked; he will restore ManUs fortunes but it won't be achieved overnight.

I have doubts whether we will will the PL, but it will be a very close run contest.

Following comment by Mex perfectly sums up why Moyes will not be a success at United

" Moyes has proven he's a good manager over the years, he's just not the right man for us, i just think this job is too big for him, his first thought is "how can we stop the opposition from hurting us", rather than how can we hurt the opposition, he's got his old Everton mentality"

Moyes is our Roy, Its simple as that
