It's plausible that North Korea was aiming a missile at USA yet managed to hit a plane several thousand miles off target.

That's a weird one...

Or maybe it was shot down by a neighbouring country military by mistake who are trying to cover it up??

Anyone seen the TV series 'The Event'. A plane disappeared in that, and I think it turned out to be the military.....

Also surely the location of the ringing mobiles could be used to locate the plane? I don't see how people could leave their mobile at home while travelling. How would they contact people when they get to their destination?
