Great attitude to have. Finish seventh, then the next season decide it's first or nothing, from not being first for over twenty years.
Where do these idiots come from?
Why are we Idiots? We have a great chance maybe with alot going our way.
Are we going to have this chance next year?

About time......i see u put "premier" in there, not just titles then? Change the name and you can wipe our history out, genius

I doubt many people here are old enough to remember Liverpool's last title win in any detail.

And then when United invest heavily in the summer, Chelsea get a world class striker.. and Arsenal finally splash out... coupled with an added load of games from the champions league. And you finish outside the top 4. You can say you at least finish top 4 for one season, right?
==================
Firstly you'll struggle to invest heavily on 'quality' in the summer because no-one will want to go to a team that couldn't even make Europe and are on a downward spiral with a manager who has never won anything and whose players are queing up to leave.
You have no idea whether Chelsea will get a world class striker or just another dud.
Arsenal splashed out this year, I wouldn't expect them to do so again for another 3 or 4 years.
The extra games in Europe mean 'quality' players will want to come to LFC and obviously we'll be strengthening the squad to cope as well as bringing through even more exciting youngsters......

Exactly the mentality I am talking about... oh the two clubs above us are billionaires therefore we shouldn't be winning the league, even though we have had comfortably the best strike force this season, and they have been dropping points consistently.
Good job Fergie didn't have that mentality when City and Chelsea got their billions or we wouldn't have won a title since 2003.
But you be ecstatic to finish top 4.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Personally I'm not fussed by the size of the City or Chelsea bank account but saying we should be dissatisfied with top 4 is either ignoring the quality of the City and Chelsea squads or over-estimating ours.
We lose Suarez or Sturridge for games (has happened) then our back up is Aspas. City lose Aguero or Negredo then they have Dzeko. Same principle for pretty much every position in both squads.
We don't have that. And this isn't a 'woe ist me' type pity comment, it's just a statement of fact. A period out of the CL has seen the overall quality of Liverpool's squad drop. You don't make up that ground instantly.
Then there the development of youth and the inconsistency of performance it brings. Again, no sob story, our young players are extremely talented, but a statement of fact.
You are right in the comments on natural fixture advantages. We're fortunate in that respect. However, that doesn't gloss over the advantages other teams have over us and immediately mean we should win the league!
We'd be happy with top 4? Damn right we will be. But you can bet we're all dreaming of more. Just because we respect the opposition and don't expect more doesn't mean there is a lack of ambition.
I agree with a post on here - we will NEVER get a better chance to win the league.
I also disagree with those saying that we're not fussed about being above United. I am f😮cking elated.

We are dreaming, but why not take advantage of what we have? it might not happen again for another decade.
Chris - we are trying to take advantage, that doesn't mean we expect it, or that we should finish above City and Chelsea. Nor does it mean we won't be happy with forth.

Where do these idiots come from?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The past is irrelevant to this season... with your first 11, the form Suarez and Sturridge has been in. Your lack of European games... the performances of City and Chelsea (crap strikers).
Taking all factors into account, You should be top... its that simple, bleating about not winning the league for 20 years doesn't matter. You might not get another chance as good as this season for another 20.
Maybe your manager just lacks that ability to win games when you aren't playing well, which is necessary to win the league, who knows.

Before a ball was kicked no one expected us to be in the top 4 this season,we as fans expected a top 4 challenge however, now we should be disappointed that we aren't top ?
That doesn't make a lick of sense when you consider the fact that most observers said the best we could finish was 5th or 6th
We are in a position right now that a vast majority didn't think was possible, we have exceeded our expecations and it has us dreaming the impossible is possible
----------
Why does that matter? So if all the other teams players got injured for the season, because your expectations at the start was a top 4 finish, you would be happy with that?
Expectations should evolve throughout the season based on how your teams playing etc etc.
Maybe I just think your players are better than they are... but I think you should be top, and am a little confused how you aren't.

Yeah that Aguero kid is really cráp isn't he.

I put brackets after Chelsea i.e hinting they have crap strikers, you know, there well documented issue all season.
Why you talking about City's strikers for?

Expectations do change. Before the season many of is just wanted a challenge for the top 4, now the target is top 3 and automatic CL qualification. The dream is the league.
You must be one of the first opposition fans to say we underrate our players! Most tell us we overrate them...
You keep mentioning Suarez and Sturridge, two fantastic players but that strength is not necessarily replicated throughout the team.
It's a squad game. Our squad is not as strong as City or Chelsea. You pick out our strengths and claim we should be top. Every team has weakness' - we concede too many and have had a lot of injuries author back.
I think we've done wonderfully well this season. We'll keep trying to win games and see where it takes us. Bottom line is City have their destiny in their own hands.
But you were though thicko, and the fact that you lied afterwards to try and save face doesn't change the fact.
I don't think this Ron guy is the full shilling.
I fear the officials will decide the match and the big call will go against us.
Just got that feeling.
