As long as you've got a centre midfield pairing of Salif Diao and Igor Biscan you'll always win
Aguero is better than any other striker in league, unless Torres gets his form back. Carrol is about the same level as Heskey, Carew or Zamora.
I would fancy aguero to score more than roy carroll no matter who we were playing.
Aguero, will be used to cold Argentinian winters, and we have played at cold and or wet grounds for Athletico when involved in european football, so i dont see it as much of an issue.
Fortunately we only play Stoke away once this season and it's on a Saturday in March....

Aguero is better than any other striker in league,
----------------------------------------------------------------
What are you basing this on?
Carroll's aerial prowess is overrated. In fact, I dont think Iv seen him score a handful of headed goals...
Aguero with his quick feet and low centre of gravity might cause Stoke's slow, immobile giants a problem or two.
So OP, your attempt to big up Carroll has failed
I'm basing it on the fact that I couldn't think of any strikers in the EPL who I think are better than Aguero. I may be mistaken though. Who do you think is better?
even though torres didnt get a goal ...only a world class player can put in such a performance against a really tough physical stoke side at their own patch...until aguero or carrol can put in such or a better peformance against them at the brittania the jury will be out on them!!
so this statement" Aguero is better than any other striker in league, unless Torres gets his form back. Carrol is about the same level as Heskey, Carew or Zamora" holds no ground!!
I'm basing it on the fact that I couldn't think of any strikers in the EPL who I think are better than Aguero. I may be mistaken though. Who do you think is better?

I hope you're not basing this on the ONE performance youve seen of him. Aguero neevr really set La Liga alight, with him it was always potential rather than current ability. In fact, he cant even get into the Argentina team when everyone is fit
Rooney is better than Aguero in every aspect imo. Scores more, assists more, creates more and is adapted to the league.

-------------------------------------------------------------
You could'nt think of any other premier league strikers better than aguero who has played 1 game in the premier league?
No kneejerk reaction there then.
Yep, Rooney was a real goal machine both for England and United last season.
Kun's only been here 5 minutes and he's already scored twice as many goals as Shrek.
"even though torres didnt get a goal ...only a world class player can put in such a performance against a really tough physical stoke side at their own patch"
I have no idea what this means. I'm pretty sure Torres has scored quite a few goals in his career. You seem to be judging him on his performance in one game (which one?), which seems a bit harsh.
...until aguero or carrol can put in such or a better peformance against them at the brittania the jury will be out on them!!"
Why do you base your opinion on a player on how they perform at one stadium?
"so this statement" Aguero is better than any other striker in league, unless Torres gets his form back. Carrol is about the same level as Heskey, Carew or Zamora" holds no ground!!"
How does this follow on from what you said?
"I hope you're not basing this on the ONE performance youve seen of him."
I've seen him play more than once. I've not seen him play in england.
"Aguero neevr really set La Liga alight, with him it was always potential rather than current ability. "
I disagree. 74 goals in 175 games for someone who's not an out and out goal scorer is pretty good.
"In fact, he cant even get into the Argentina team when everyone is fit"
Argentina have a number of good strikers. Only Aguero and Tevez play in england. When Tevez is on form he is possibly better than Aguero but I was under the impression he'll be leaving the EPL soon, so I didn't include him.
"Rooney is better than Aguero in every aspect imo."
I respectfully disagree.
"You could'nt think of any other premier league strikers better than aguero who has played 1 game in the premier league?"
You do realise he has played games before he moved to Man City? I'm basing my opinio on his performances throughout his career. I have not seen him play in england.
So to sum up then west coast don, someone who has played one game and scored two goals in his premiership career is deserving of the title "best striker in the prem"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry how did i misinterpret that
Really? You need me to explain it to you even more simply? OK.
You didn't misinterpret that sentence. Well done.
This is where you went wrong -
"So to sum up then west coast don, someone who has played one game and scored two goals in his premiership career is deserving of the title "best striker in the prem"
What I said was the absolute opposite. I clearly said at lest twice that I have not seen him play for Man City, so it should be fairly obvious that I am not judging him on how he played in that game, but instead on how he has performed in games during the other eight years of his career.
Also (and this may not have been so clear), I rarely watch the EPL, so I'm not claiming to be an oracle on the subject of who's the best. I was just offering my opinion on what I have seen.
Aguero neevr really set La Liga alight
Yes he did!

Well tbf to him, unless you play for Barca/Madrid, it is really hard to set La Liga alight as the rest of the teams there are just there to make up the numbers.
He was good in La Liga but he wasnt even indispensible for Atletico, Forlan was their first choice striker hence Aguero was often left out of difficult european away games
only a world class player can put in such a performance against a really tough physical stoke side at their own patch...until aguero or carrol can put in such or a better peformance against them at the brittania the jury will be out on them
-----------------------------
That almost sounds like Stoke away is the benchmark for whether we can judge a player to be world class or not.
I guess the jury's still out on the likes of Messi as well then.

Well said. Rooney has never done all that well at the Britannia does that mean the jury is still out as to whether he is suited to the english game?
Hernandez has got 2 goals vs them in one season, does that mean he is the greatest of them all?
I can say that based on the 30 minutes i saw of him on Monday night , i think Aguero looks quicker, sharper and more talented that Rooney and he is not even fully fit yet, that is my opinion.

to be fair, you're not really in a position to judge then are you
Aguero looks a good player but I'll give him a season before making a firm judgement on being the best stroker in the Premier league

According to Nike, Rooney is the quickest player in the league outside of Walcott and Agboulghor.
Just his frame makes him look deceptively slow. As for sharpness, Rooney scores more goals, that my friend, is called sharpness in and around the box, I couldnt care less if Aguero is more agile anywhere else on the pitch.
both talented but Aguero has achieved next to nothing in world football yet. Rooney has wone verything there is to win in England
