Varane looked great in a Mourinho team which basically functioned to protect the two centre backs.

This season he has been very average when he played.

You only need to look a JT and Cahill from last year to this to see what playing in a Mourinho team can do for CB.

he's only played 8 gamesin La Liga, mainly when Madrid were struggling a little at the start of the season

Varane's had injury problems this season, within 3 years he'll be by far the best CB in the world
