I think your mate was pashed
Havnt seen very much of Utd but Ive seen loads of The Rangers and we would have been bottom 6 had we been top flight this year.
As for Black and Daly
Black might get in your team but truth is I don't know
Daly shouldn't even be in ours FFS never mind a top flight team.
Tell your mate to seek help.
I reckon rangers will beat United. They have the biggest squad in Scotland with the second highest wage bill.
well if we are allowed to play the whole squad against Utds 11 then perhaps timmy
By that criteria, shouldn't Celtic still be in the Scottish Cup, timmy?
we have 53 pros on the books
More than even Celtic I believe.
no idea why we need them all but as 30+ are kids who knows
Sure anything can happen in football but in the modern game having a bigger squad with better paid players is a huge advantage.
if we doubled Dalys wages he would still be pash
If he played for free he would be pash
if yir pash yir pash
I suspect this thing about 50-odd players is pash. We had a similar thing a few years back. It came from somebody looking at a list we had previously submitted which contained loads of youths and guys who by that time had left the club etc.
I think DU will win the semi, probably with something to spare.
Is he pash or just not used properly? You don't reach that level in the game if you are a bad player. Rangers squad is made up of the best of the rest from the spl.
BH
WE have 53 players who take a wage
from 200 quid to 16000 quid the majority being the latter
However yes Utd should beat us.
Its over 12 months since we played any top flight opposition that will make a difference
Timmy he is pash
He is used properly
He has zero mobility and slower than a 3 legged cart horse
He gets more chances than any Rangers striker in history and still misses most of them.
He is well past his sell by date though Im sure he was decent in his day.
"BH

The majority getting £16,0000?
I'd like to see the list.
Anyway, as you say yourself we can't play them all at once.
As for Daly he's no van Basten but he's done pretty well for us.

Boyd would have scored 50 +
Big Lee 40+
Just about any player who could run faster than that Oscar chap without the blades 30+
aye he has done okish but so would just about anyone
I hope Utd annihilate them, absolutely destroy them, highlight the total difference in class that The Rangers can look forward to if/when they get back to the top table.
Wee Jackie and his limited budget to ram it right up Ally and his millions.
Celtic fan wants Rangers to get gubbed. Shockerooni!
Just giving my opinion Duke.
As my club are not competing, gotta go with those I have a greater affinity with, in this case it's Jackie Mac's Dundee Hibernians.<ok.
I would expect nothing else Sir
I was trying to explain to my mates last night that Rangers players will be training at League One levels, regardless of being full time it's human nature to only do as much as you need to do, by all accounts Rangers have beat a lot of teams in the last 20 minutes of games when the part timers have run out of steam, that is what I think will happen in the Semi as Rangers won't be used to playing a high tempo team and a team that will have no fear of attacking them and not park the bus like teams in league one would try to do
You forgot " the the" infront of a few of the mentions of rangers in your last post .
Stumblebum
I actually think now that its a 'home game' for Rangers might just work in our favour. I too have heard a lot of Rangers fans saying they think they'll win it, so the pressure will be on them. I'm sure United will have a decent enough support there to still be well heard on the day and I'm pretty sure our players are relishing the game, and I'm positive JMac will have them in the right frame of mind on the day
I'm not going to say anything about if we'll win it but on our day we play some of the best football in Scotland that's for sure
As for the stadium choice, I've heard a lot of people (mostly Rangers fans TBH) saying we should just get on with it, should have complained earlier (even though we did) blah blah blah.........
....but surely if they themselves complained about it in October they must realise that its wrong the game is at their home ground??? Surely if something is wrong before it happens, then its still wrong when it actually happens???
You wouldn't complain to the cops BEFORE your house was broken into
Pretty much every Rangers fan would have Utd as strong favourites ...at least everyone Ive spoken with has.
Perhaps the Rangers fans in Dundee drink more who knows why.
As for the venue...well when it was announced way back just about every fan in the country thought it strange to announce the semi and final venue so early.
This was at the time more about the home advantage for Celtic in the Final (what happened there then)
However it was also noted that Rangers would also get an advantage should they reach the semi stage. stage.
The truth is Pete wanted his new fancy tax payer funded stadium to get both cup finals and got his way.
So just about everyone thought it wrong (bar a few celtic fans) at the time.
And you would complain to the cops if you thought someone was planning to break in to your house though.
