Not to come across as an obssessed Ronaldo fan, but hasn't Ronaldo maanged a similar number since he moved to Real...

Last time I heard he was on 23 hat tricks and that was a while ago

I looked at Ronaldo's record as well and he's got 23 hat-tricks since 2009. There both unbelievable

Both on another level to any other player atm

No wonder the amount of penalties they get.

Hate to say it, but having watched Ronaldo and Messi this season as well as Suarez, the gap between those 2 and the rest isn't so clear anymore

What has mainly set these 2 apart from the rest are their goals to game ratios these past few seasons. Yes both offer far mroe than just goals but in general, it is their goal tallies that have made them stand out the most.

Suarez is currently on course to winning the golden boot. Ibra and Costa are also achieving similar goals to game ratios as Messi and Ronaldo this season

suarez has more assists aswell

Come back to me when they've done it for 7 years.

Messi and Ronaldo are on another level to anyone in the world, and they have been for years.

Both absolutely brilliant players.

Surely that's irrelevant.

We're talking about current ability levels....

I agree unless Suarez and co. consistently score 40+ a season, then they cannot be held in the same stature as Messi and Ronaldo but if we're simply talking about who is better now, the past is irrelevant.

Suarez has scored as many as Messi and Ronaldo (more or less), he's scored better goals, has more assists and is doing it for an iferior team in a superior league (IMO).

Hacving said that, if Messi and Ronaldo score the goals that wins their club the CL/league, they should win Ballon D'or again next year

And on current ability levels nobody is in their class either.

Despite the statistics suggesting they are?

Considering everyone harps on about how the Premier League is far superior to La Liga and far more difficult to score goals, surely Suarez should get some recognisition for what he has achieved so far this season....

I'm a Untied fan so I hate the guy but what he is doing atm in the Prem, is reminicent to what Ronaldo did when he scored 42 goals for us

Suarez should not be compared to messi or ronaldo. Nor should anyone in world football, not even the hipsters choice ibra.

Suarez doesn't take penalties, both Ronaldo and Messi do.

Don't get me wrong, I still have Ronaldo and Messi as the top 2 but I'm just saying the gap between them and a few others, is not as big as it has been in the past...

That was inevitable seeing as though Ronaldo is 30 next year and Messi seems to have become more injury prone.

I still think they will be the top 2 players for at least the next 2 seasons though
