I think Fawaz is confirming that although they are on the short list, they are unable to take the job at the moment due to restrictions in their contract or being judged on 8 games.

Depends if Fawaz can wait until the end of the season, because the only person he will get now is Dean Saunders,

"the only person he will get now is Dean Saunders"

I would rather have Jennifer Saunders

She'd be an absolutely fabulous appointment.

SBD this would be a bummer if there's anything truth in it, which their probably isn't

SBD - Clarke would be class. What's wrong with you?

Zola would be better than Billy for a variety of reasons. He wouldn't drag the clubs name through the mud. He would care about the club and not just himself. He wouldn't wear a blue jumper in an attempt to be Brian Clough. He wouldn't be Billy Davies. He would understand that right backs perform best when played in the right back position. He would know that strikers like to be played in the position that best suits their game. He wouldn't pick Moussi. He wouldn't play Halford up front. He wouldn't try to defend every single one nil lead we have with a negative substitution. He wouldn't refer to himself in the third person. He would speak to the media. He would play in form players, and drop those who are out of form. He wouldn't be Billy Davies. His cousin wouldn't ruin our club. He wouldn't go on Twitter saying that the innocent will not be harmed. He would probably attract players because of his past and reputation, rather than repel them for the same reasons. He would probably encourage an attacking style of football. He would wave to the fans. He wouldn't say it is what it is. He would still be a dwarf, but he wouldn't be a poison one. He wouldn't be Billy Davies.

Not saying I want Zola, really. But he'd be a lot better than Billy.

Mackay or Clarke in the summer. Between now and then it makes no difference because we don't have the players to push on and get promoted. Do you think Wilson still exists?

It massively increases his chances of talking sense.

Wahey! That was so funny, I forgot to laugh!

In what way was that just saying the opposite to you, SBD? Disagreeing with you means I must just be saying it to be contrary, does it?

MON has dropped slightly again to 11/1 and is now 4th favourite.

If only!

However I would still be happy (even after this fiasco) if we came out of it with Mackay.

malky for me in a heart beat

MON aint gonna happen sorry guys

posted on 28/3/14

Malky would be good. People say that he wouldn't want to work for another demanding owner but they get well paid for their troubles so I am sure they are not that bothered.
MON seems unlikely as he is only just settling into life as the Ireland manager. He is not the sort to walk away from jobs ala Steve Bruce.

Well, that makes me sad. Malkay not interested. I read somewhere else that he'd have to give up millions of pounds worth of compensation to join another club at the mo, and I suppose you'd have to be mad to do that. Especially to join us at the moment.

Steve Clarke, come on down.

It was extremely doubtful from the start, I guess he would have had to walk away or Tan would need to agree a settlement

"That may be influenced by the fact that he remains locked in a legal battle with the owners of the Welsh club, following his sacking.

It is believed that, if Mackay were to take on another job, he would risk having to write off a significant amount of compensation."

I thought we had a chance with him, but didn't know about the money thing.
