The Posh V The Spirerites (JPT - Final)

You're at Wembley Thorney?! I haven't followed the JPT at all this season (that's the beauty of leaving League One!) and had no idea

You should hump Chesterfield to be honest. Still, anything can happen on cup final day so it could be very close. With that in mind I'm going for a 6-1 win for the Posh

Enjoy your day out mate. I found the place pretty soulless to actually watch the game but you can get served at the bar within 2 mins, even at half time so every cloud...

Good luck

I am off to Wembley and seriously concerned about this game.

Our results have been terrible for 5 months, we have taken 26pts in 25 league games which is 5th from bottom over that period.

We don't keep clean sheets and don't create enough chances.

My hopes are two fold. One, Britt Assombalonga is prolific despite us being rubbish. Two, hopefully Chesterfield are not very good.

Thanks, Champers. Like Righteous I think, we'll need that good luck on Sunday. Hoping next season (if not, with a lot of of late luck, this one) to join you in the Championship where you've now established yourselves

P.S. Michael Owen's voice box, last seen bobbling about somewhere in the Indian Ocean.

If Assombalonga doesn't freeze, this is a game we can win, despite being without a quartet of cup-tied players (silly rule, especially when you reach a final!).

I think the wide open spaces of Wembley will suit Swanson, especially if Fergie plays him in his correct position (behind the striker).

For the first time in his Posh career he has shown a bit of form recently, and is a talented player on his day.

For Chesterfield, Gary Roberts will be a danger. Another talented individual who will be highly motivated having been part of the Huddersfield side from Old Trafford.

I always feel with us that if we score the first goal we will be absolutely fine. We counter attack very well. We have scored first 20 times this season and have won 14 of them. When the opponent scores first we have only won 4 of 16 games, losing 11.

We struggle to break teams down when we go behind.

Two years ago we were in the same position, except we were the aspiring League 2 team and Chesterfield were on the way down from League 1. We all expected to win but it didnt go that way due to an own goal from Risser (probably di Canios worst signing and thats saying something) and a late goal. That said it was a good occasion with good natured fans on both sides.

Good luck and enjoy the day

What time's kick off tomorrow Thorney? Might watch if it's on the box

posted on 29/3/14

2pm kick-off - live on Sky Sports 3 from 1.30pm - highlights at 11.25pm on BBC1.

Don will be happy with his side's (Swindon's) result - I point behind us now.

Hope it's as sunny tomorrow as it was here today.

Leaving Thorney now for the supporters' coach

Hoping that it will be a cracking game, that Posh play well, and for a Posh win - C'mon the Posh!

Great win by peterborough. The pundits and kevin davies going on agbout chesterfield having more chances is rubbish. We created most of the clear chances and tested there keeper more even with 10 men. It took them like 92nd minute to test our keeper.

Good day out and a good result. Fair do's to Chesterfield who played well. We took our chances better, though. Loanee winger, Isgrove, from Southampton, excelled when he came on as a sub. I'd like to see him start against Colchester on Wednesday. Can we return to Wembley?
