Its too hard to call. You can easily see both teams winning their remaining games. It could come down to a 'winner takes all' at Anfield
I expecct Liverpool to carry on. The question is will it be enough? City now the favourites.
I do think that actually being top of the table brings its own unique pressure. When you're second, you're motivated to catch up to the team ahead of you, but when you're actually at the top then you've got nobody to chase, you're being chased by others.
I am quite glad that we had the mini-scare against Sunderland. It will keep the players focused and underlines the fact that if we just make one mistake, it could be incredibly costly. It was sort of like a reality check that we are not simply going to give every team we play a pasting. So it was a good lesson to learn, but still another three points at the same time.
I honestly don't think it makes a difference. City and Liverpool both know that if they both win all their games then they will win the league. One thing in our favour is we have less games to win.
By the way, I'm not writing Chelsea off, I'm talking about the two teams that still have things in their own hands....
The only place to look when you're on top is down. This does add pressure!
I think the confidence the lads are showing is that of players who believe they are good enough and can't finish the job!
I don't think there's much in this pressure malarky, at least in this season for us specifically, we have without doubt exceeded all expectations this season, 4th was a target all of us would've been extremely happy with at the start of the season and I'd still be just as happy if we ended on that.
Pretty sure most of us just want our players to do their best and that's exactly what they've done.
I think there is a different pressure leading but it will only become a factor if Li Liverpool lose one of their next couple of matches otherwise they won't look back.
We will find out soon enough. Looking forward to the match on April 13th. Can't see it being 0-0.
Cracking season for Liverpool that's for sure.
Yes being top adds pressure but I have confidence that the team will cope with it. Rodgers has done a good job of preparing them for games and we have performed well when knowing that we had to win to keep intouch.
We have basically secured CL football for next season. That was the goal for this season. Anything above that is a bonus. I don't think that the players are feeling much pressure because the primary goal has been (pretty much) achieved, and nobody expects them to win it.
City and Chelsea were expected to challenge and one of them win. So that to me means there is more pressure on those players than ours.
I disagree. Now that Liverpool is in top spot with only six games on, the pressure is on them to win the league, and anything less than that will feel like a failure. Liverpool fans will admit that to themselves deep down.

I agree that there is now pressure with us being top. But I also agree with The God Fowler, we have pretty much achieved what we were aiming for at the start of the season and so in that sense the pressure that was on us at the start of the season is now off, and we can just enjoy the rest of the season and see where it takes us. Other teams might have bottled the chance to go top of the league at the weekend, we grabbed that chance with both hands.
You deserve it, as much as it pains me to admit that.
Pool aint been there since Adam was a lad....they have no track record to go by (unlike Utd in recent seasons under SAF) whether they play well or just scrape results
This aint over yet - all good for the viewer
City still just favourites
The only problem I see is if they suddenly start thinking about winning the title. The game vs City will be the decider.
Kenny Dalglish said something recently which pretty much summed the situation when a team is fighting for the league title and at the top of the table. He said that there is definite pressure when a side is top especially approaching the later stages of the season. But for opposition there is the pressure of facing the top placed team. Both different types of pressures of course and can work both ways but one certainty though is that playing at Anfield for City and Chelsea will come with pressure and neither our players or the crowd will make it easy for them to come and win.
For us it has been a remarkable season and to come this close is remarkable and it is going to be one heck of a finish which everybody will enjoy apart from maybe the United fans.

I think Rodgers will drill into every single player's mind that they can't afford to let their minds wander. He seems excellent at keeping the players' feet on the ground and helping them stay focused.
Team which is chasing top spot is under more pressure but motivation gets less when a team and players are number one.Thats not my opinion but a natural thing.
