After frank Clark the most clueless manager we've ever had
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That would be the same Frank Clark that got us promoted in his first season, got us to third place in the premiership and qualifying for Europe in his second and signed the great Stan for us.
I could cope with second to that.
Did you lot not say that about King Billy
I remember the same moaning going on when Clark was appointed after Cloughie. The most successful manager at Forest since 1993 by far. If the board could have their time again I bet they wish they hadn't of panicked and sacked him. Been down hill ever since, with the exception of Bassett and Hart's spell, where again, the board messed up and put profit ahead of achieving.
Will.....
Powers within ... Scholar and his bunch of greedy gits stopped us ordinary folk having a say anymore in our club. We were forced to take a back seat until ND took over who actually then got rid of us. However, it saved the club from going bust.
This is not aimed at you so please don't think it is:
Some Forest supporters do not realise how close we were to going to the wall. Yes, some managers were employed that should never been allowed anywhere near our club. Some were gambles and others were total big time mistakes. ND did his best to support our great club and some supporters should head warning. We spent a time in the 3rd tier but at the end of the day we are slowly looking up. We have not become a Luton Town or dare I say it Portsmouth. For us the future is good. We have an owner who needs help. I think he has accepted that and he is looking to put things right.
Whether Pearce takes the job or not, we will still be here as fans of our famous club. We may or may not get promotion this term but whatever happens this club is still ours and we will and should back whoever is in charge. If people don't like the manager they should still get behind the team
Poor choice.
Pearce plays hoof ball.
He'll be sacked by Christmas with Forest mid-table.

Never sure about this kind of appointment. Legends deserve to remain just that. There are thousands of Derby fans for whom Colin Todd and John Gregory are just 'failed managers'.
This will be Pearce's toughest job in football bar none.
Don't be silly. Some people can separate playing and managerial careers. This will be the best chance for Psycho to succeed as he will have full backing.
Some won't but those with half a brain (or more), will be able to.
I actually agree with Hooidjonk. If Pearce doesn't make it work at Forest with the adulation of the fans and the chairmans cheque book he won't make it work anywhere. Regarding legacy people surely can separate the two.
People saying imagine if it don't work out etc, well imagine if it does and we win the league with Pearce at the helm. His status will be enhanced.
Pearce is and will always be a legend.
He managed before and did quite well in the first month. He got manager of the month. The players just weren't good enough and the club moved on allowing him to continue his ambitions.
This time he will want nothing more than bring us success. It looks like it will be in this league and depending on who we have to sell in the summer to help balance the books, he will have a team good enough with the odd addition.
I wouldn't moan if we sold Darlow or Lascelles. They are both becoming "prima donnas" Some of their performances leave a lot to be desired recently. We should still manage to challenge without them.
A must keep is Lansbury followed by Paterson and Reid. Hobbs will hopefully be back and with Wilson also about to return you have a goods nucleus to build around.
We can all hope for promotion this time around but all is not lost if we don't get it

......................
That's a bit harsh, Lascelles is bound to be burning out a bit, Darlow's confidence in himself and his defence would have taken a hit lately. He did well enough against Ipswich
Maybe... But They have a lot of flaws between them. Darlow does not always read the game. Even the crowd had to tell him to hurry recently. Lascelles does not work well with Collins and although he is young it has affected his game. If the money was right, I'd sell. FFP will also dictate this.
If FFP dictates it then they are likely to be the ones that we have to cash in on. But they are still in their early days of Championship experience and some of the faults can be developed by management, coaching and team mates. Lascelles probably needs a rest and hasn't been helped that Hobbs and Wilson are injured
Quote from fawaz in February this year:-
Forest have spent big in an effort to secure promotion to the top flight, with close to £7m invested this season alone.
But Al Hasawi has no concerns about breaching financial fair play rules.
"We have some companies, from Kuwait, who are providing sponsorship to the club," he said. "That will cover the fair play situation. We have six or seven companies who will support the club when it comes to the fair play.
"No, we are doing things right, with regard to the fair play rules.
"The money from Kuwait is covering the financial losses, actually."
We have to prove that that sponsorship is to a certain standard though, and we're not getting people to pay above the odds.
You would think that FFP had some sort of mechanism to measure whether it is an applicable amount that is justifiable. Then again it's a really difficult one to nail down because of the MANY factors that are involved with it.
Isn't the restrictions on the amounts limited to those companies with an association of parties in the club anyway? That whole area sounds like a VERY difficult one to enforce when it gets down the level of being challenged in the courts
Forest - In hock to a foreign dictatorship.
Disgusting!
It can't be enforced Ray. Anyway it's not like you need the bog doors sponsoring for £100m.
Loving the irony, Iwas...
Any road. Has he signed yet or are you relying on the BBC?
I have news alerts beamed to my phone by the beeb. Last week they alerted me that a plane had crashed into the sea off a Spanish Island. After ten minutes they again alerted me that it wasn't a plane but a boat so panic over.
Flying boats now, whatever next!!!
SHH, I could be wrong but my guess is that it is all Fawaz's money and he is just filtering it through Kuwaiti companies to make sure that individually none of the companies breach FFP guidelines in relation to amount involved.
