Decent signing, depending on cost and wages. Not a key signing though, there's more important priorities to be sorted out.
Possibly, I was just saying on the tuther forum that just because he's in a rubbish team doesn't make him rubbish even if he is a pretty unknown nobody. We were an awful team not so long ago and had Whelan & Brunt. Quality that we've lacked since (even if lazy because lazy is what we have now) and clubs above us raided us straight away for them.
Not saying that this is the same situation, burt hopefully? it's about time something went in our favour.
Green is quality (at this level). He's worth paying a nominal fee for.
I think he would be a great acquisition. We need some young, determined, and fearless kids to inject some energy and belief back into our squad. We have too many lazy, clueless hangers on at Hillsborough, kick a few out and get these kids in.
Green is currently on only £1.5k per week so we can easily double his wages & he will still be on less than half what JOC gets. I suspect that the fee will top £500k now.
Thought I'd join you all over here! I've just read in The Star that we've had a bid turned down for him.
Not sure what we have bid but Peterboro had £300k turned down. We should bid £500k plus £250k if we get promoted. That should seal the deal.
We could also throw in imre's mother.....that should really seal the deal
He can't be that good if its Peterborough and us battling for his signature......?
We're in League 1 though.
Not sure when or how you could have missed that.

What's your point?
That it was a ridiculous statement from a supporter of a League 1 club.
Are we expected to be competing with Premiership sides for the new players we want to bring in!?
