How is it? I didn't go past the demo. The more they patched the demo the worse it felt.

TBH by the time it downloaded it and the updates to my system last night I haven't had a chance to go on it. I also downloaded Hotline Miami as that was free too

Would appreciate an opinion on the play. Even a comparison to FIFA which does my head in.

Will hopefully get a decent chance to play through it tonight (Family permitting) and will let you know what its like RtM

If its like Fifa and better next gen that last gen, then that's great. I hated pes 2014.

Right....So far I have managed to get a few games on it and I'm neither here nor there regarding it.

The Good

The individual player stats seem to actually mean something on here and it took me a while to remember to pass it to certain individuals that could handle the ball a lot better and pass better.

Online worked well. I managed to get a decent amount of games in and didn't one encounter a ragequitter or a network cut off.


The Bad

The graphics are woeful in parts

The AI can be confusing (Both for your team and the opposition). A few matches have involved players off the ball running way out of position AND the wrong way allowing me to either waltz through or wonder why my teammates thought he left the gas on and was popping back home.


I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this and I can see what PES were trying to achieve. The shame is that if they decided to work on it rather than just churn out an annual game (especially since they moved to a different engine)


Will probably get a few more games in when I can and also keep a close eye on the next release to see if they have learnt from their mistakes and got more out of the next one.

Also RTM I've been told that this month the US has got one of the Batman Arkham games on PS + I think its City but Im not too sure.

One thing I would look out for is Thomas was alone, an Indie game that's due out on the US PS Plus sometime this month and well worth a quick blast (I played it after catching my mate raving at a rectangle for his defeatist attitude).

Yeah I checked into it yesterday. Not into the Batman games unfortunately.

I had the same feeling about the demo that you seem to have with the finished game. Loved the feeling and it felt like the game still had a bit of restriction that kept the game from feeling amazing. Although it does seem to move more like a real match. I just hate the speed handy cap given to defenders when you get through.

I played pro the other day and I have never come a cross a poorer football game in my life. Graphics were a poor, shooting was horrendous. The players individually don't stand out and they all seem to be very similar. There is no rain due to the game engine.

The list can go on, however one thing I enjoyed was the passing which was accurate and smooth.

Overall FIFA (which does not change yearly) is a much better game, I enjoyed Pro back in 2005 but now its slowly dying, which sad as competition is best for everyone.

Will say I am one of the biggest pes fanboys on hear, but the ai is so broken I lasted about a week before giving up. It had so much potential and ticked so many of the boxes but the overall result was poor, I was forced (pes 2013 was pretty good imo and more than stood up to Fifa 13) to buy Fifa 14, which is still a long way off from an excellent football game but is the best available

Those last 2 comments are depressing. I was hoping it would at least be fun. FIFA is so boring. The AI is a big ol cheat. You can tell from the off whether or not the AI will be letting you get a win or not.

I hate that if you're playing a very noticeably weaker side and decide to play an even slightly weakened team to rest a good player all of a sudden you're the worst side ever just because you're not at full strength.

Rtm the finished game is not that much different from the beta, I may load it up later to see if the game has been patched much and if the game has been improved, will give my opinion hopefully in a couple of hours

Some bad news RtM i deleted. Had a harddisk clear out and since i hadnt played it for more or less 6 months it went. Will download again though, as tbh it was on my list of things to do

Well RtM i downloaded, updated it, played 1 game and deleted it. Yes it is that bad. AI, Goalkeepers, passing, and just the whole feeling of the game is clunky, and i havent even started to talk about ball retention and dribbling that is so painful if i were to talk about it, you would die! Miss at all costs. In my opinion pretend that football games dont exist, climb in a mech and kill anything that moves.

I actually played the demo yesterday and....well surprisingly I enjoyed it quite a lot. Not perfect by any stretch but still. I will need to put in more time to see if I'm willing to purchase it.

Captain play it for a good 20-30 games at least. I also thought it was quite good but then you find a few ai things are broken, just wait for the pinball goal as the keeper seems incapable of picking up the ball etc and then when the ball gets loose in the middle.

he trick system is the best I've used in a football game, is great.
Right stick to where you want to go to then straight after the left stick to where you want to end up, have done some great moves with it.
