What ppl don't realize is that poor hold up play impacts the whole side. Without someone holding up the ball, we give too much possession to the opposition in dangerous positions. That puts a lot of pressure on the defenders. Arteta, Monreal mean thats its virtually impossible to hold out.

And what you seem to miss is that no pace in the side means that Everton have license to press with multiple players on Giroud every time the ball comes into him, as there is no threat in behind.

The biggest problem with this side is not Giroud per se, but the fact that we have absolutely NO pace in the side, which leads to a litany of problems.
