2 or 3 players on gardening leave but still being picked in the team. No fight.

the loss of ozil and wilshere means we are unable in hold the ball up in attack. The team knows we can't score so are afraid of conceding the first goal.

Are Arsenal the only club in the premiership that has the johnny foreigner playing for them?

The truth is, we have had a lot of away fixtures to the top teams.
Not many of us thought we would win the league, and the defeats were pretty much expected (not the nature of the performances). We haven't lost loads against low teams (Villa and Stoke our only 'shocks' weren't they).
We were in a 'false' position and more fool you if you thought we were on our way to winning the league.

Home in the cup, away in the league. 4-1 flattered us, as Everton poured forward to try to save the game.

the home advantage is not so great in cup games. Don't you think it had something to do with a different team that fought hard and then other players came onto take the glory when Everton tired?

Home advantage done us proud in the cup!

Liverpool was the same, hammered one week won the next.

I strongly believe that the players are fine, its the manager with his stale tactics that is the problem!

So you think its nothing to do with different players selected for the FA Cup and so different tactics?

We were poor against Swansea at home as well in recent games. Shouldn't we have easily beaten them if home advantage was the reason for good performances?

Different players? Only real changes were in goal and Sanogo for Giroud. No change in style.

Of course home advantage makes a difference, Swansea was a poor performance at home, no one said the home advantage was the only factor.


Away fixtures to top clubs are always the most difficult games, not really debatable, surely?

The difference in tactics I noticed in cup games vs league games was two fold.

A) Arsene deprived Everton and Liverpool of space behind by playing very deep.

B) Obviously that isolates the striker so he played Sanogo who is better at holding the ball up long enough for deeper runners to join the attack from their deeper positions. Sanogo is also hungrier and better in the air so was easier to find by hopeful longer balls than someone unwilling to fight for scraps.

What makes a team have a collective nervous breakdown, after being top of the league in January?

They finally play some tough fixtures.

There seems to be a lot of fans on here willing to accept mediocrity.

Enough of the excuses. We are arsenal and should now be challenging for titles and cups.

For those that think 4th place is an achievement once again then you seriously need to ramp up your expectations.

Castor you are correct however we have only had 2 transfers windows since we got new sponsorships. if we have the type of summer window like we did last summer there will be no excuses. it takes 2 or 3 windows to replace the quality of players we have lost in the last few years to make up for money gap in our finances.

No one is happy with fourth, we are just explaining why we are fourth rather than just going into a blind rabid Wenger out rant because we haven't won every single game

If we get fourth all we will hear is wait until the summer and we will definitely spend money blah blah.

We made the same articles last summer when we were meant to be signings 2/3 top players.

All our seasons are a carbon copy of the previous season.
