I'd sell Young, Nani & Valencia before I'd sell kagawa.
kagawa can trap a football, get his head up and find a player in space. The other 3 can't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he also gets knocked off the ball, dissapears from games and doesn't create
young, nani and valencia are wingers. different players.
kagawa is never going to be good enough to be a man utd starter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't really get this whole knocked off the ball thing? When does he ever get knocked off it that is obvious?
So who would you start out of Valencia, Young or Kagawa then? Get some players on the same wavelength as him and you will see the best out of him, like Dortmund did for 2 years, we have stagnated his career unfortunately. He hasn't had a run of games in his best position but players like Young and Valencia get countless opportunities, it's odd.
Heisenberg, please name any top team that plays decent football that Kagawa would not fit in.

Heisenberg, you'd have to be pretty simple to not understand that he has been criminally mismanaged.
Sure he has been shocking in some games, but I feel with regular game time, like he is now getting, playing alongside intelligent midfielders like Mata and Januzaj, he will really thrive. You don't believe this no?
I made a point that he is let down by the deeper supporting cast due to their passive nature. With two quality additions in central midfield, we will see a better Kagawa IMO.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would not even say shocking. Just because he is not moving mountains whilst being mis managed as you rightly pointed does not mean he is shocking. If this guy was German, I'm pretty sure that Bayern would have tried to sign him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
bayern could have signed him. they didn't. they usually steal their oppositions players.
mata, kagawa and januzaj in the same team screams of trouble. far to lightweight.
i get we need quality, but not kagawa. even januzaj has been going backwards and needs to sort out his act if he wants to succeed.
he already thinks he's made it.

The real Vic Mackey is a bada$$.
I had high hopes, watching a lot of Dortmund matches got me excited at the potential we had on our hands. He was their best player the year we signed him and impressive the season before.
All the evidence pointed to us having a player on our hands who was similar to Silva and was thus compared to him. I didn't see anybody saying he was going to be better or as good. Every United fan I know or who have come across on here has nothing but admiration and respect for Silva.
I don't think I speak for myself when I say that most United fans would be over the moon if he was one of us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do think Kagawa is quality but I also remember a lot of United fans over hyping him at the time!
Worth keeping hold of If you change your system IMO

infact they have money, we should sell to them.
I was a big advocate for us signing Fellaini last summer. I genuinely thought he'd rise to the challenge and prove a good yet slightly over priced midfielder for us.
However, he's been abysmal and that's being kind. Slow, clumsy, overly aggressive at times. lethargic, sloppy, poor, shiiiit, crap......basically everything you can think of.
I couldn't have been more wrong than I was last summer. He's never a United player in a month of sundays. No idea why I thought he could be.

young and valencia are good squad players and nothing more. they are good enough to be part of the squad.
they shouldn't be starting but they are due to us not investing in the squad.

The 2 big differences between Fellaini at Everton and us is he played further forward at Everton and seemed to play without fear.
Neither of those things have happened at United. Just looks like a lost puppy.
Heisenberg why so negative?
I think Januzaj has surpassed all our expectations we had of him for this season.
I bet you good money that Adnan is a much better player for it next season and Moyes has actually managed him really well. Reminds me a bit of Sterling last season and now look at him. Januzaj has the skill and attitude to surpass him.
As for lightweight, that Bayern attack tonight bar Mandzukic are what you would consider 'lightweight' but they fared alright didn't they?
I hate the lightweight argument. I would love to see Mata, Januzaj and Kagawa as a regular feature in our attack. They are intelligent and a joy to watch. I hope Moyes feels the same.

Stretford.
Feel the exact same regarding Fellaini mate. Was all for that signing. He had a tremendous work ethic and desire at Everton, as well as good ability.
I thought he could transfer those qualities and breathe some life into our limp midfield. I was wrong. He has been so underwhelming. He will be an ok squad player I feel but not of the required level to be starting the majority of our matches.
A real shame really because he was so good at Everton, but as others have pointed out, he was playing further forward for them.
Agree completely with the op. Kagawa had a very good game and must be kept and played.
Add a quality LB and winger to the two new CM you mention and I would be quite happy.
We have Wilson, Janko, Powell, Keane who could soon be part of the squad
