The guy is an idiot but is better than any of our midfielders by a long way so YES.

posted on 10/4/14

Certainly not! You don't want other teams' fans hating us do you?

What does he ever do ???

One of the most over rated players ever

posted on 10/4/14

No, overated, thinks he's great, is a little boy really, absolute idiot, never rated him... refs hate him, wouldn;t do anythign for the team...

so, no, in a word

I think he is a decent player but in would worry about his temperament . Did anyone hear his interview with Clive Woodward on R5L last week? Whenever I hear him speak he comes across really well but then next you hear he goes and does something stupid. Infuriating guy.

LIW

Scott Parker is the most overrated England player ever.
i think Barton does the simple basic stuff we havent got that at the moment

Only thing going for him is he cost sc# mchester the title two years ago getting sent off for QPR. Still think he would be a bad move.

Please no.

No

As a player, when under self- control , he'd be a plus. But temperament is suspect, too big a risk

talk about his temperament.... id like to see how many yellows and reds hes has since the start of last season.

Not for me, spends too much time talking sh ite on twitter and annoying people. Not a bad player, good passing ability.

Anyone remember Vinnie Jones? How many thought Wilko was mad? I'm not sure where this link came from but I'd drive him to ER myself if there was a chance. He's got more passion in his left big toe than most of our squad put together.

No.

We still haven't shaken off the "dirty" tag that Brian Clough forced on us in the 70s. The last thing we need is that greasy thug clogging up our wage bill.

posted on 10/4/14

Dirty tag was way way before Clough

posted on 10/4/14

Stevie, thing is Vinnie Jones wasn't a media nightmare, never spoke with a false french accent

the game is far too different now, both on a pitch level and a media level...

Barton isn't the same as Vinnie, no way.. both bad boys but Vinnie was bought to do a job. he was never in danger of being an absollute

We need players with balls and passion for this club - he's the type of character that could put a spark into some players - the club needs ar5eholes like him

posted on 10/4/14

I don't even think he has passion, not for any club anyway, he can;t help but get into trouble... he's just somebody who if he wasnt a footballer would be a dole dosser, smoking pot at home..

don't get why people think because somebody is bad, and says daft things why he;s got 'passion', - it's purly because he can't control his temper, or his childish ways...

No.

Cos
U know
Nothing but bad
Things will come from him

I disagree with many on these boards, well three or four, not that many really, only the numpties actually, and mostly because they use improper language or because they are silly, but even I have to agree with U12354.

I agree with Stefano, he could become a valuable asset to us.
Cellino is crazy, he is crazy & with a passionate crowd behind us next season I can only see this as a plus.

Call me crazy if you like, I would welcome him on board.

posted on 10/4/14

you are crazy, Middleton

Seriously, he's no Vinnie or Bobbie Collins or Bremner or Hunter ...... there is a difference between passion, between controlled aggression, and occasional fits of...... you know what
