Comment from Network Rail "Due to the game being scheduled mid month, and how the tangerines wept over the semi final ticket sales, it was decided the dundonians would not have the spare funds for train travel thus it was felt bus travel was more fitting to their meagre budgets"

Do they not do these sort of maintenance things at night?? Just seems stupid to do it on a Saturday in the summer season even if there wasn't a cup final on Surely they'll run a couple of trains like they did for the league cup final??

I'll be jumping on one at Larbert anyway so that should be alright

Done a bit of work clearing railway embankments when I was younger, smaller trees and scrub etc. This was always done on a Saturday night after the last train, as the Sunday trains were always later starting just saying like...........

How will the roads cope with the floods of fans leaving Perth.

Glasgow on the friday night for a night out then stay the night for the final, then stay sat night too.

You're joking?

Can't believe the final's not on a Sunday anyway. Some of us have to travel across the country though and buses stink.

Ivan I'm not having any issues booking a train for this day. Can get the 9:30am from Aberdeen apparently.

I've heard a load of Aberdeen buses booked themselves into clubs etc in Glasgow for the 17th, before their semi on Sunday
