Legacy, magnificent, global superstar, star
Just a few of your words there after a goal. You are excited aren't you? Bless
Spurs fans should be happy considering they haven't had anything to be happy about. Should be glad that one of the biggest superstars played for them and none of them can have any complaints directed at him for leaving.
Still have a lot of time for him and glad to see him doing well. Fair play to him.
I'm happy for him. I've wanted to see him do well at Madrid, not just because he's an ex-Spurs player but as someone from these shores plying his trade abroad at the biggest club, and they often never amount to much. It's not often you can say with absolute certainty a British player is world class and one of the top 10-5 players in the world, and Bale is one of them.

Oh is this meant to be a wum?!?
Bit of a fail if so.
Bale
Glad he's proving what a class act he is on the biggest stage.
He was too good for Spurs unfortunately.
This doesn't read like a WUM.
Glad to see him doing well... It makes me laugh how petty some were on here when he moved and had his injury problems at the start of the season
PS Lionel... Come out, come out where ever you are

Lionel is in hiding buddy
Btw the op has been altered
Only happy that the idiots on here calling him overrated might finally realise what we lost when he went, no amount of money can replace a player like that.
Couldn't care less about him now tho - it's all about Eriksen
I don't miss bale. Seems that I am one of the few fans that is able to totally cut a player off when they want to leave. Don't miss bale. Wouldn't have him back. Wouldn't have modric back either. Or vdv etc etc. even though they are class. Once they cut ties with spurs they cut ties with me and they move on for better or worse and we move on for better or worse.
There is always a new hero. Eriksen
But he too will leave one day. And then there will be another hero etc etc

You wouldn't have Bale or Modric back?
Bale's the best player I've even seen in a spurs shirt. He's also a very down to earth nice bloke. I'm proud he played for Spurs and hope he continues doing well.
Wheres your Messi Bottle it again Article?
The sheer speed that Bale demonstrated is mind boggling. He managed to outrun the defender from worse angle. Just amazing.
To me if he is in top 5 players I have seen don a Spurs shirt, in no particular order, Bale, Lineker, Ginola, Berbatov, and Ardiles.
The funny thing is after Bale ran on to his own pass, his touch wasn't the greatest but he was so fast that Bartra still wasn't able to catch him. Ridiculous goal really.
As an athlete you cannot argue against Bale being at the top of the tree when comparing Spurs players past and present.
But as a talent he does not surpass either Hoddle or Gazza for me.
Bale was at Spurs for 6 years but only really produced consistently for his last 18 months. He was young enough to give us a season or two more and while I do not begrudge him his move I do have a slight issue with this.
Big up the Bale. Nuff said. All negative comments are embarrassing really, they reek of primary school playground banter to be honest.
Proud of Bale. End of.
Gareth Bale had a great game for Real tonight. His winning goal was a pure classic and right out of the CR7 mold.
If he had been born in England, we would certainly be hearing a lot more of him and he is definitely shaping up as one of the UK's best exports alongside his countryman John Charles, Beckham, Jimmy Greaves,
Mark Hately and Denis Law.
That goal was pretty entertaining to watch. Ran well out of the pitch into the technical area and STILL outpaced Bartra with such ease. Seems the defender was too pre-occupied with shoving him off the pitch than actually sprinting for the ball. The oceans of space Barca left at the back was just farcical. Bale's power and pace is beastly and his composure is fantastic, but Barca really do have a Championship-standard defence. Their stubborn refusal to deal with that area in the transfer window, rather than chasing vanities like Neymar, has made them a joke
Gareth Bale scored a good goal last night but I wouldn't call it a wonder goal! Not like he ran past 3-4 players before scoring.
Pains me to see him in a Madrid shirt but to be honest also proud he played for Spurs. He would be wasted at our club. When's the last time we created space for anyone to attack a fullback?
You wouldn't have Bale or Modric back?

nope, or berbatov, or keane or carrick etc
for me once a player wants to leave then thats that as far as i am concerned. spurs means more to me than just being the best football team we can be.
the better player the sadder i am when they go, but i move on quickly. all the spurs fans that are left longing after bale and wishing he was back are the ones i pity, because guess what, he aint coming back, and he probably doesn't even care about spurs, or the fans… he is off on much much bigger and better things!
vertonghen doesn't seem like he wants to play for spurs… he can faack off… whether our best defender or not. if lloris doesn't want to play for us either then he can follow him out the door.
Half of them can faaack off
