The nightmare is increasingly looking likely to come to life.

Can't see Jose beating Liverpool in a game they have to go all out to win. Got lucky with the PSG match.
Rodgers will beat Chelsea at their own counter-attacking game.

Oh wow, this guy actually doesn't get the difference between Chelsea's and Liverpool's spending. Awkward.

Liverpool have spent the same as utd since the inception of the PL yet still failed to come away with a league title. They're no paupers.

With the fans Liverpool have, them winning the league is no victory for football

Hopefully the World Cup will steal their thunder. And hopefully after the World Cup Bayern will steal Suarez.

I think city are the real failures tbh
I said earlier on in the season it'll come down to the big games and city losing 6 points to us has hampered them
Pellegrini decent enough guy as he is cannot take on mourinho

But he'll be much better next year with £100m and getting rid of a raft of those internationally capped multiple league winners.

correct, bottlers.

if Liverpool finish above City, then I think Pellegrini really flopped. That Liverpool team only has a decent attack, the midfield, defence and keeper are average on paper.

Shows how great Rodgers has been though really.

They've been helped greatly by fergie retiring aswell . One more space freed up in the top 4 with moyes around

If the same team that turned up at the Etihad turn up at Anfield, i'll be happy.

Chelsea should field reserves in the first leg of the Champions League tie to keep their players fresh for Anfield

Pellegrini should be sacked. How this City squad isn't winning the league is beyond me.

I have a feeling (wishful thinking?) that Chelsea will sneak the title, but Rodgers and Jose have done a great job this season.

Utd fans have dealt with Liverpool's title challenge really well to be honest.

One of the main reasons I used to hate utd was because of their arrogant fans, and yet I feel this is wide of the mark, you have been completely honest ax the seasons gone on in regard to your league position.

And are probably the only fans that seem less bitter and give credit for how we've performed, as supposed to the other clubs, who for some reason seeing liverpool top is a direct attack on their own club!

Come on Chelsea. Every United fan is firmly behind you.
Jose will finally show why he is the greatest manager in the game.
He stopped City at the Etihad when they were ripping apart teams for fun and now he'll do the same with Liverpool

Come back when you have won 20....or may be not. Liverpool's hubris apparent from that banner all those years ago reminds us to be not like them.

And yes we can acknowledge good football.

I think the majority of is are grateful for he rest times we have seen. Yes we still think we should be at the top, because the infrastructure and history is there to be so.

But Liverpool have been the best team to watch this season, and by a long way. I think most Utd fans now aspire to playing the Rodgers way.

It would be great to see Utd and Liverpool battling it out for titles, as it's the best rivalry in English football.
