Look at Rodgers at Liverpool and didn't Hughton have Norwich up the table for a while? I just feel that if Rodgers can do it then MAYBE Sherwood can. But i would prefer a top name to make sure.
Thank you Pav. I've come on to give you boys some hope.
Rodgers appears far more tactically astute than Tim (I don't care about formations) Sherwood.
This is his second full season Spurtle, he was second bottom last season, has Sherwood had a chance yet?
Second from bottom? They weren't that bad.
In the second half of Rodgers' first season you could see signs of improvement. I just don't see any signs from Sherwood that he'll be good enough, moreso now he's a few games in. His whole demeanor, the tactics, the awful starts..I have no faith in him.

Rodgers done his apprenticeship at Swansea and done a good job to deserve a bigger job
spurtle, chicken thinks so though. He's still blaming AVB for recent Sherwood results to this day
Agreed Hengy
Sherwood should go and make his mistakes elsewhere. Then go to Arsenal and mess them up.

Can't smile
No but he picks the team so ultimately down to him
Yes I know Don. He still thinks Sherwood has taken us forward. I'd like to know how that works.
Can't smile
Why doesn't he have the good sense to drop Rose then? He's been bad for ages and could have played Fryers there instead.
spurtle, he will argue his point until he is blue in the face despite being the only person on this board that actually has this opinion. Sherwood is not doing a bad job but he has not improved us. He has got us scoring yes that I do agree but our defence and tactics are all over the palace under Tim. AVB might of made us the worlds most boring team but at least he had a system and game plan. We looked much harder to beat under AVB than we do now. I feel under Sherwood we are going to concede every time the opposition get the ball
Can't smile.
That's down to lack of any clear tactics, dubious formations and squad changing every game. Players look as though they don't know what they're supposed to be doing half the time. Manager problem imo

a nice long unbeaten run just in time for the end of the season
typical spurs.
i cant wait for this season to be done, sherwood to be faaacked off along with danny faaacking rose, vertonghen, and whoever else
I feel that way too Don. The only real positive you could attribute to Sherwood is that we look a lot more likely of scoring than we did under AVB, but that's almost cancelled out by the fact we look equally likely of conceding.
Neither managers got the balance right with this squad, though at least we were doing alright in the cup games under AVB. Even if they weren't the best teams we had a record that I severely doubt Tim would have replicated.

I posted this in the current trending chicken AVB thread and did my research (bored on nightshift)
AVB record in all competitions this season
Played - 26
Won - 17
Drew - 3
Lost - 6
Scored - 44
Conceded - 25
Tim Sherwood stats in all competitions this season
Played - 23
Won - 11
Draw - 4
Lost - 8
Scored - 40
Conceded - 38

basically completely proving him wrong on his Sherwood showing up AVB myth, watch him try and squirm out of it
As you can see under Sherwood our defence has fallen to pieces and he has managed less games than AVB so far. This research was all competitions so both mixture of cup and league (fair comparison)
