Seeing City and Chelsea bottle it makes me sick. The same won't happen next season. We had our chance and the league and we blew it. We've paid for the last 2 transfer windows.
I can't stand Chelsea, happy to see them bottle it. I hate that disgusting, vile club. Hate them more than any other team.
I'm just happy that we've progressed this season, no doubt we'll keep improving from here on. FA Cup will give the players, the manager and the club in general a huge lift and hunger for more, plus we've got decent cash available now.
Seeing City and Chelsea drop points makes it even more disappointing in the fact that we collapsed.
What an opportunity missed to challenge for the league.
I want Liverpool to win it, but them winning it is a damning indictment of Wenger tbh, they'll have done it from 7th last season. Yes, not in Europe, less games, but I believe that's equalled out by lack of Europe meaning they've missed out on transfer targets who turned them down in summer because they weren't in the CL. Yes, their fans will never stop talking about it, but there's no doubting they deserve it.
Liverpool deserve it for being the most consistent side overall. That win against Arsenal spurred them on they started believing. Thanks to Arsenal.
I've thought Liverpool will do it ever since the 5-1, tbh. That result was more significant than people think.
It'd be so good if we could guarantee top 4 with a couple of games to spare so we can rest players for the FA Cup final

Although I don't think we could've signed the sufficient quality in this January window to spur us to the title.
But certainly in the summer.
"It's been a great season full of surprises, hopefully more of the same next season."

Speaking purely from an Arsenal perspective I'd say it's been a steady season featuring two or three too many lows to be looked back on too fondly, even if we do go on and win the FA Cup.
Looking forward, we're going to need a summer full of (nice) surprises if we're to avoid another season of falling predictably short at key moments.
We need:
a brute in midfield
a mobile, offside-trap breaking striker
replacements for any outgoing players
a winger
in that order.
Javi Martinez
El Shaarawy
D.Costa
And I'm happy.

Cesc?
"Cesc Fabregas's future at Barcelona appears uncertain with half of the club's supporters keen to offload the former Arsenal captain in the summer."
Can't see Fabregas' ego allowing him to return. Plus we have to see if Barca's embargo will remain in place.
He didn't exactly rule out going to United either...
Cesc should man the feck up admit that Barca didn't suit him. He's too good to leave out but how can they scrap the system built around Xavi & Iniesta for Cesc as good as he is. Arsene will be on the phone I am sure. Also get in Messi while he's at it
Best season in prem since 2004. Still lots of twists and turns possible. If Liverpool don't win tomorrow and Chelsea win at Anfield it's wide open. Anything can happen. It really is an unpredictable season apart from us getting spanked away by all the top teams. Only Wenger couldn't see that one.
There are a lot of unearthed gems out there, Arsene's gonna have to work his magic and get us one if we can't sign any of the big name strikers.
Somebody with a physical presence, pace and technical ability.
If we sign Cesc, we'd have to play a diamond to fit everyone in.
Szcz
Sagna Mert Kos Gibbs
Javi Martinez
Ramsey Cesc
Ozil
Walcott/El Sharaawy Costa
Yes, Cesc doesn't fit the current Barca side, but there'll probably be a new manager at Barca next season, so their team might change shape again. On the other hand, transfer ban makes that less likely.
Barca will never change their style, regardless of who the manager is esc will struggle.
What a shame he's wasted 3 peak year there. He may have trophies to show for it, but no legacy that he would've had if he stayed in England.
------------------------- Chezza
-Sagna-----Mertesacker---Koscielny---Gibbs-
-------------------Bender---Ramsey
------------------------Fabregas
-----Walcott-----------------------------Ozil-----
------------------------- Costa
We won't sign any of those players but if we did sign Cesc for example, Wenger would not change formation, he'd just play Ozil out wide.
I don't think we'd sign esc if he became available tbh, can't fit him and Ozil into the same team imo
I know a lot of our fans don't like Liverpool (don't know why...) but I honestly don't have a problem with them winning the league, they absolutely deserve it. They play the best football despite clearly having a weaker squad than Man City, Chelsea and even us. They haven't got back to the top by using the Chelsea/Man City approach and signing every available player, they've done it the right way.
------------------
Spot on
It looks like we're finally gonna end our trophy drought and we competed for the title for most of the season, but the injuries just killed us, so we've made great progress.
---------------
In reality little progress has been made and sadly several players appear to have stopped playing for the shirt/manager.
If Fabregas becomes available then we must sign him. He is too good for us to turn down.
Also it's about time the silly twát accepts he made the wrong decision to go back to Barca. He will never fit in their system and the fans will never accept him.
