Nobody gets handed the title over 38 games, no matter who wins it.

You get ups and downs with luck, everybody does. The team that wins doesn't necessarily play the most attractive football or endear themselves to the neutral but they always deserve it.

It's been that way for the two decades Liverpool haven't won the title and it'll be that way if (yes, if) they win this year.

ok but my point still stands: every team that ever wins anything has to have some luck along the way and liverpool are no different.

Yeah but they also have bad luck.

As does 2nd place.
And 3rd.
And 4th.
And 5th.
etc
etc
etc

yes but i don't think any team that had bad luck all season ever finished first.

it doesn't balance itself out at all.

check theses guys out, they do a "real" premier league table where the results are changed to what they would have been if the refs decisions had been correct every season.

In football you can create your own luck.
We had a goal wrongly given against us vs West Ham and you know what we did? We attacked them as feck and won a pen

Chelsea were poor and created very little against bottom of the league side. You wont get much luck playing rubbish.

I hate Liverpool, but you deserve it.

Fair play

I seem to remember Mourinho saying it was a "clear penalty" when they got one in injury time at home to WBA - a game they should have lost. If that was a clear penalty, then yesterday's was even clearer.

It's just what many of our fans have been doing for years, making excuses for Man Utd winning titles.

They won titles because they were the best team that year.

If we win it it will because we were the best team this year.

Fans of other clubs who hate us will claim otherwise, it's just what small minded fans do.

The penalty which Chelsea got against WBA was one of the most embarrassing events I've seen this season. Almost as embarrassing as Maureen's rant post-match, but not quite.

A clear penalty yesterday on Altidore; the Ref and linesman got that one right.

If there is any justice in this world then yesterday's was Ramires' last game of the season. He can go home to Brazil now. That foul was even more blatant that Luis' bite. At least a three match ban would be in order.

Best team wins the league every season
Debatable decisions even themselves out over a season, don't really the issue.
If Liverpool go on to win the league it would be because, like Utd the year before, they deserve it
Hope Norwich fecking stuff you though

How can anybody even question whether Sunderland's penalty was legit yesterday? It was very clear.

I agree that it doesn't even itself out though. The past two seasons we've been very unlucky with refereeing decisions. When you're the flavour of the month, it seems to have a bit of an effect on officials. When you're everyone's enemy, Suarez, over spending on players etc it seemed to also have had an effect.

Refereeing standards have went downhill and are only getting worse.

Look no further than our away games against City and Chelsea this season. No more need be said.

Absolutely Jimmy and we did not complain at the fixture list either which as one of the toughest any team faced. Lets not entertain nonsense from Mourinho or others.
