Suarez can fit into almost any team, Henry would only work well in teams that have that short passing ball to feet style.

I'm not saying Henry was not good, he was a great player but he was a one trick pony.

Henry has so many goals that were so similar.

Sterling, I think they meant Ajax players only. Ronaldo9 never played for Ajax did he? Also not only his general play but Suarez as we know is a bit of a nutcase. Combined with his captaincy and the Dutch apparently loved him. He also left quite a literal impression on a player with his teeth as we all know.

No, he played for PSV.

It was more a statement of surprise that Suarez was though of in the same bracket as VB.

For example, if Henry went to West Ham, he would not do very well, if Suarez went there he would adapt to the style of play and thrive

Scoring from nothing Sheriff? I hope you don't believe a ball rolling across the half way line is a goal scoring opportunity.
-----------------------------------------------

When the opposition are holding a very high defensive line around the centre circle and the keeper is far off his line, a successful half-way line lob by a player is amazing for its precise execution but doesn't take much vision. Most players won't attempt it cos they'll get a hounding from teammates if they miss - especially in a tight match. But it's a pretty obvious thing to attempt when you have a lot of time on the ball. Certainly not as much vision as Henry's goal - a very, very unique goal. The guy picked up the ball 25 yards from goal with United holding a perfect defensive line and the keeper in proper position on his line, and with his back to goal he flicked it up, swivelled and volleyed into the top corner - all in one rapid, fluid, graceful movement that gave no one any time to react.

There's no goal that describes "scoring from nothing" more than that goal. I can imagine myself lobbing the keeper like Suarez, Alonso, Rooney or Becks with enough time and space like they had. I can't imagine having the calm and speed of thought and technique to execute Henry's goal in the middle of a passing move with my back to goal.

10 times exactly the same goal from the one trick pony

Luckily he never played for WHU , he would have never been able to score goals like that for them

Don't agree with the theory that Suarez's goal from the half way line wasn't as much of a "goal from nothing" as Henry's was I'm afraid. Beckham's, Alonso's and even Rooney's goal this season were just as much a "goal from nothing" as Henry's. The fact is the ball is in the centre circle and nobody expects a goal to go in from there. A very good goal but have a look at Suarez's first goal against Norwich this season at Anfield. The ball has bounced up from a Gerrard header after a goal kick and he has laced it into the corner from 40 odd yards with no attacking player in front. As much as a "goal from nothing" as any.

And Sterling, I was as surprised as you but it seems he was rated highly. He even scored 49 goals in one of his seasons in all competitions but due to it being regarded as a poor league it was rather brushed aside.

No. Although what Suarez is doing this season is incredible, he needs score 20+ for about 5 seasons consecutively to even be mentioned in the same company.

Suarez is better for me.

Only 7 other players has scored 30 goals or more in a premiership season.

Both players however are very much in Andy Cole's shadow.

For me it's a very difficult one. I'd consider both around the same level but such is their difference in playing style, it's difficult to choose one over the other.

Such an arbitrary discussion. Henry was legendary for arsenal, but we could say the same about Torres in his prime.

As individuals they are different types of players. One is full of finesse and the other full of graft. Both geniuses.

However with all the respect I have for Henry, for me Suarez is the better player, just for the fact that he brings about 3 or 4 players into a single attack by passing and moving.

Yeah, passing and moving and bringing others into an attack was one off Henry's weaknesses

Some of these statements about Henry make me question if the people making the statements ever watched Henry play.

I don't think it's a question, it's quite obvious.

Suarez has so much more to his game than Henry

In three years time Suarez will become the greatest pl player of all time

I am guessing you are about 18 at most, Roopa. You cannot be old enough to have witnessed Henry play.

Henry was great but not the same level as Suarez, hence why he never won a ballon d'or

Suarez has won how many?

Could Henry play on the shoulder of the last defender?

No
