god i hope not hengy because if he's there next season then that means he will start
Watched him for a long time now and there seems to be a pattern with these English widemen who have an abundance of pace - they just lose it. From Adam Johnson, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Aaron Lennon, Stewart Downing and even the overrated Townsend. I think the way that most continental systems set up in either the 433 or 4231 wide midfielders are used rather than your traditional wingers who around a decade ago would be expected to get to the byline and whip it in. As a result I think these sort of players have really suffered. Combined with poor coaching these sort of players struggle in the modern game.
Shame that as I used to enjoy watching Lennon play and really whip that ball into the area after taking the full back on.
"he doesn't track back"
Wtf.... What a strange thing to say as he spends most of the match tracking back and helping out
ace face, agree with everything you say about from "he dosen't track back" because that's one thing Lennon does do well. Apart from that i agree he is f ucking useless and one of the worse wingers in the league.
Have you ever seen lennon strike a ball well at goal. Its like he is incapable of kicking the ball hard. He always scuffs it or its just a weak powder puff shot.

Lennon can't even beat his man anymore and that was one of his strongest attributes a few years back. He has always been gash at crossing and his shooting has always been c ack so that has not changed but he has got worse at beating his man and is now useless. I just want him sold.

Thing is he has got pace, if he went to somewhere like Sunderland he'd be their best player, hes got to be worth 10m.
----------------------------------------
He'll probably be a bench-warmer at Sunderland. The likes of Adam Johnson and Giacherrini are better than him. Probably a £4m -£5m player.

Considering Danny Rose went there and was player of the season I'd say you're talking ballacks
Not sure on the fee but I do hope we sell and/or upgrade. No other top team would settle for 9 years of mediocrity (if we're being honest) from one player.
He used to be my favourite player. He did used to be exciting when he was on the ball running at defenders. I used to imagine that he'd improve to the point we could get almost a penalty a game from him. He has not improved one bit. The fact that in his now 9th year when he should be in his pomp, he's going to have his worst goal return for us is pretty damning.

Rose was a left back there, so it's not comparable. Mannone is their current player of the season, though he wwas a 3rd choice keeper at Arsenal. That doesn't mean I can claim Sanogo would be Sunderland's best player.
Sanogo is rubbish, Lennon has been a consistent performer for us in the PL and was a key player for us in the champions league.

Yes Sanago is a donkey but Lennon has not been a consistent performer in years mate. He had 1 real stand out season and had decent spells in his early years but apart from that has never developed as a player. He has got worse each year and judging by his inept ability in attack these days it's time to sell
Plus I look at sterling and it saddens me because he is 10x better than any Lennon and Townsend. I would rather have Redman from Norwich than Lennon. Redmans much more dangerous and would be class in a decent side.
I didn't say he'd been consistently good to be fair
I know what you're saying Don - he's not getting any better and to be fair we are - I don't think that he's got worse is just the squad has improved in pretty much every area since he signed.
Redmond has looked good but I'm wary of signing players that look good for weaker sides.. Pienaar was the standout player for Everton when we got him and was bang average for us.
Lallana, now there's a player
Sterling has been good.. Townsend started the season so well
