Quite frankly, we were praised quite highly for our defensive display against Bayern Munich. The players left their heads up high in the Champions League.

What the hell are you talking about. They are only being praised by rival fans. The media is too busy crying over lfc and trying to destablise City. Sad really. Wish it was an even playing field

Good for you, I'd have him in a shot.

Difference? He gets results. He went to pls form side and got a win.

And has put his team in the stronger position going at home.

He's in a results business and he gets them.

Stretty, didn't you used to complain about the quality of the football when Fergie was busy winning things in his last few years? What makes you think Mourinho's brand would make you happier?

We received a lot of praise for our defensive display against Bayern.

You got quite a lot of praise for that game to be fair. The difference was, though, your game was at home and at the end of it, Bayern still held the advantage, albeit less than some perceived before the game. To go to Liverpool, nullify them and win wig a severely weakened team, was simply excellent from Mourinho.

The way I describe Mourinho is as a glorious tw&t. I dislike him with a passion, and yet you just have to acknowledge when someone is utterly brilliant at what they do.

I think Mourinho's team is in transition like he keeps saying. Expect 3 top signings for them. One or two forwards, maybe a Vidal type as rumours suggest.
They may be way better next season which spells trouble.
Personally I never really wanted him either perhaps 60/40 against.... but look how our season panned out

Oh just seen tomorrow's gossip, hope if Van Gaal comes he doesn't bring Strootman. He is ok but has just had knee surgery and we should be looking for better than him IMO.
Also the Bosnian kid at Schalke as LB linked again. Shaw won't be signed for 30m. Way too much. I think Saints may sell one player and that will be Lallana for 20m+

Mourinho is beautiful, no idea why he gets hate. It should've been him that succeeded Sit Alex.

On him being our manager. I didn't actually want him because I wanted a manager that would really improve our style of play, Pellegrini was man I wanted.

However, Mourinho definitely would have been the best man to take over from Fergie because he's a winner.

Can I knock you out? Twàt

I genuinely did want Moyes over Mourinho, but only because I just thought Moyes felt more 'right' for United. Crazy, I know.

I'm still not sure how I'd feel with Mourinho as United's manager. I just can't see United adapting to his style of football.

You've got to love him though. The way he celebrated that second goal was pure theatre. I honestly think the people who say they hate him are lying to themselves. He just makes the Premier League so much more fun.

Legend.

We've been playing like a Mourinho team for years. There wouldn't be any problem adapting as there wouldn't be much adapting to be done.

Cowardly football.

There's a difference between being a solid, well drilled, good defensive unit, like Atletico vs Barca, and just ruining the game completely with 6 at the back, with the faking injuries and time wasting nonsense.

Must agree, nut at the end of the day its the result that matters.. if we won the league by parking the bus I'd be happy... Mourinho plays boring football, but he gets results.

Mourinho wouldn't manage a mid table trash team like United anyway so I wouldn't worry!

Because I don't think mourinho teams play as badly as people are lead to believe.

His first Chelsea team were great to watch.

The man is a winner, pure and simple. His priority will always be to win but he has also over the years built and managed some entertaining football. This is his first season back, he clearly wanted a striker but couldn't get one as well as having key players missing yesterday. When at full strength I'm sure Chelsea will play some entertaining stuff, with players like Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Schurrle and most likely a top new striker they have the players to do so.

People who say they hate Jose are completely missing the point, he's such an entertainer, whether he's the villain or good guy he is so much fun to have around.

Also I don't remember United getting much stick for their tactics against Bayern? Everyone knew who the better team were and Moyes actually did ok in the first leg. I think it was more a case of it being sad that this is the level United are at right now.

Did you see his interview after the game? "Jamie Redknapp is a brilliant football brain."

Say want you like about Jose, but he's a serial winner, wherever he's been he's won things.

And anybody who thought he would come out and attack Liverpool and Madrid at home is a barmpot of the highest order. His weakened team beat Liverpool and got a draw in the other game; trophies don't get handed out for pretty football, ask Arsen Wenger, he knows all about that.

Football is about entertainment, but it's also about winning, Liverpool have played some great football this season, but they've not had the CL to deal with and for all the nice football they could end up with nothing, so might Chelsea but Jose set out his team to stifle pool and like it or not that's exactly what he did. You might not like it by he achieved exactly what he set out to, so who's the tactical genius here? Rodgers or Jose?
