Why do people always say selling sturridge was a mistake? At the time he was terrible and showed no signs of potential, he was a greedy who would never defend, he couldn't play as a striker for us and still wouldn't be able to now because he's not good as a lone striker having to hold the ball up and do all the all round work etc, he works much better in a 2 or 4-3-3 and at the time we was playing 4-2-3-1 and still are, even tho i'm not a fan of it.
If we bought Sturridge tomorrow and stuck him back in for our next game he'd be crap simple as

Makes no sense, we gave him 45 mins v Blackburn upfront and 33 minutes v WBA upfront in the league and you have made your mind up? In every other situation he scored for us (winger, fa cup, loan). We stuck by Torres, and have suffered because of it.
