Likeable guy and hard worker with some quality, as his detractors came to realise at the end. Ultimately his lack of goals/assists, coupled with his slight frame, made him unlikely to be kept by Klopp.

£13m is a good price with only a year on his contract. A small loss on a player who gave us decent if unspectacular 4 years of service.

Yeah James Pearce says there were a lot of clubs in for him but only Stoke were able to agree a fee that we wanted. £13m is a good price for him, I wouldn't have minded him staying but it's understandable he would want to leave. Hope he does well for Stoke.

I know james pearce said benteke and wijnaldum were in gym not on field.

If ings and sturridge were also missing that suggests issues.

The fact benteke had to do gym suggested he either returned unfit or has an injury.

The rest are in heavy training now so anyone with a strain is going tobbe out of that.

Sakho sent home from the tour over concerns with his attitude.

He's injured but will do rehab at Melwood. Gomez and Lucas both injured but staying on the tour.

He's a strange one is Sakho.

Saw that, looks like perhaps sakho will be made available for transfer.

I doubt we will sell him this window as we won't be able to get a replacement in time.

His long term future has to be in doubt though.

He just doesn't seem to take his football very seriously.

I think Matip and Lovren will be first choices, Klavan will get his chance and if he takes it then Sakho could well be 4th choice and half way out the door.

Subotic is still available. And sakho is just coming back from injury right now anyway, we're going into the season with 3 fit centre backs and 2 coming back from injury.

If sakho is sold we'd still have 3 fit and 1 coming back, not the end of the world imo.

Subotic is injured for the rest of the year. That's why his move collapsed.

I think there is absolutely no chance of us selling Sakho without a replacement in straight away.

Klopp won't want a repeat of our centre half nightmare of last season.
