Seriously though, it was a decent episode, but most of the season openers, mid season and season end episodes have been decent.

It's the big slow down that inevitably comes that can sometimes drag. But I suppose you need balance.

Don't think this'll be the case with TWD. You've got Negan and The Saviours introduced, plus The Kingdom plus the fall out for the group following the first episode.

Negan aside, I don;t know what any of those are of what they mean, but I'll take it that you're looking forward this season

I have lost interest in the Walking Dead.

Thought the first series was excellent and it occasionally drops in a very good episode, but generally it's just repeating itself over and over again.

They escape some horrible people. meet some horrible new antagonist people, with sporadic remembering the zombies exist and killing off characters in between.

I preferred it when they had an aim of trying to get to Washington.

At least then there was hope of an ending in sight.

Now they are just going round in circles, and being increasingly stupid to get in situations where they might get killed.

Think that's what the producers are going for. There is no hope in an apocalypse. Just the futility. I saw an interview with the creator a while back and he said he hates that previous zombie movies have a happy ending.
